Hidden Design for a Clean, Factory Look

The EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch is designed to be completely out of sight when you're not towing. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once installed, the cross tube will be completely concealed and only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. But unlike other hitches with hidden cross tubes, the Stealth goes one further. You can remove the receiver portion of the hitch for a completely out-of-sight setup. To mount the receiver, just insert it up into the access port that is built into the cross tube. Secure the receiver to the hitch with the supplied bolt and washers. When you're done towing, just remove the receiver portion to return your vehicle to its clean, factory appearance.


Eco-Friendly Material

With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will stand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.

Fantastic! The hitch has been a perfect addition. I’ve used it exclusively for an ebike carrier and while the carrier is on the car it necessitates an increased vigilance for sharp dips and or tall speed bumps and taking those at an angle…. 6,000 + miles on the bike in two years and a majority of those thanks to the last year and having a hitch enabled Volt heV lol

Not too bad to install. Took me most of the day to install mainly because I had to get a few tools I thought I had but turns out I didn't.

Only giving 3 stars because I haven't had the chance to use the hitch with anything. Once I try it with a few loads I'll update.

Nice quality hitch for a difficult to fit application. The only drawback is due to the low receiver, I get ground rubbing in certain situations like steep driveways or large speed bumps. The 1 1/4" receiver might be less prone to this, but I already had an expensive bike rack with a 2" tube.

Received my order quicker than expected. Shipping Box had a small tear on side, but all of the order was intact and in good condition. I also received a follow up email from etrailer.com to make sure I got the order and all was ok.

    The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11221 which is a fit for a 2012 Chevrolet Volt only has a 100 lb tongue weight rating so you can't haul two 50 lb bikes since the weight of the rack which also needs to be included would exceed the hitch's rating.     I believe you are referring to the invert adapter where the hitch tube connects to the rest of the EcoHitch Stealth # 306-X7180. That bolt is a 1/2” x 2-1/2” bolt.
