Easiest RV Tank Rinsing
Lots of RVs come equipped with dedicated tank rising systems for flushing out black-water tanks. If yours doesn't, this is a great upgrade that is easy to install yourself and absolutely worth every penny.
When you get to the dump site and begin emptying your tank, attach a standard garden hose to a nearby water source, like the campground's city water connection. Attach the hose to your rinse system inlet, keep the sewer valve open, and turn on the water. The sprayer inside your tank will start blasting away at the inside walls and send any lingering debris down the drain. It's a system that fiddly tank wands and flush valves can't match in terms of ease of use and effectiveness.
We suggest you have a dedicated hose to use with this system. You don't want to run the risk of contaminating the hose that you use for fresh water.
Easy Installation
This system can be easily installed if you've got some DIY experience. The big thing to check before you start, though, is how accessible your black tank is. You'll want to locate your black tank, and in most cases it's going to be directly under your RV's toilet. Check to see if there are any service panels inside your RV that can be removed to access the tank. The spray nozzle of this system should be installed on the top of the tank. Once you drill an opening into the tank, use a silicone sealant to prevent liquid or foul odors from escaping.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Valterra HydroFlush RV Black Tank Flush System. This rinsing system is going to permanently install to your RV's black- or gray-water tank to make routine flushing easy. You're just going to connect your garden hose to the included inlet to supply water for the system. This spray head is going to shoot water in all directions for a thorough cleaning, it's going to break up deposits and debris while you dump your tank, and it's going to help to keep your sensors clean so they are less likely to send you false readings. Now, the inlet here includes a plastic cap to keep it protected when it's not in use.
This is going to install with the included hardware, and this spray head is going to mount inside of your black- or gray-water tank, and the water inlet is going to mount to the underside of your RV or in a wet bay with this included bracket that you see here that's attached to this end of the hose. Now, I wanted to point out that this does include this vacuum breaker. This is a safety device which will prevent sewer hose water from entering the fresh water supply line. The vacuum breaker should be threaded onto the fresh water supply fitting. The female end of the designated flushing supply hose should be connected to the vacuum breaker, and then the other end, the other male end is going to be attached to this bracketed hose connection just like that.

- Why Does The Valterra HydroFlush Need To Be Installed On The Top Of The Black TankThe Valterra HydroFlush RV Black Tank Flush System # VAL42RB is recommended to be installed on the top of the tank so it's out of the way of everything and isn't a point that solids could get caught on or in the event that the backflow valve failed it'd be less likely to drain the tank. They have the same spray pattern and the holes are not a different size. The difference is really just what you mentioned, that the HydroFlush has the hose and metal bracket that mounts to the underside of your RV, while the No-Fuss will use Accessory Kit # A71 to connect via the RV wall.
