Video Transcript for Deka Wiring 05731-5 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the five pack of 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors. These vinyl insulated blue butt connectors have a wire range of 16 to 14 gauge. The wire gauge, you can see it fits, is actually stamped on here. They do use chamfered barrel ends in the inside to allow fast and easy wire insertion from both ends. The very middle has a built in wire stop for accurate positioning of the wires and these must be crimped at the ends for a good insulated connection, and this part comes as a quantity of five. But, that should do it for the review on the five pack of the 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors..

I ordered a Ventline Vanair RV vent fan. It arrived on time and in good shape. I believe I paid a fair price for this item. I have not yet installed the fan, but have no reason to suspect it will not be the exact replacement for the defective one in my Airstream. I also purchased the butt connectors to hook up the fan during installation.

Not water tight silicone butt connectors wouldn't use these

While we dont have butt connectors designed to be water tight, we do have heat-shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 as well as primary wire heat shrink tubing # DW05451. The heat shrink design is intended to help keep as much water as possible out of the wiring connection.

Wanted to upgrade my trailer to LED tail lights during an overhaul an new flooring. After stopping at 4 auto supply stores that carried the brand I wanted but only stocked the most expensive ones the company offered, I went to etrailer an stopped wasting my time.
Exactly what I wanted. Priced honestly, and delivered quickly.
Won't waste the time & gas next time. Just come back to etrailer an be completely satisfied.

What can I say? they work and are inexpensive. I had to find something to add to my order to get from 149.90 to go over the 150.00 to get free shipping, and if you own a trailer, it's always a good idea to have these in your toolbox!

  • Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light w/ Reflector Mounting Instructions
I would be happy to help you with some mounting instructions for the Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer item # MCL0040ABB. The directions are extremely vague so I will walk you through the process. You will want to connect the white wire to the ground wire on your trailer and the yellow wire to the power source using a heat shrink butt connector item # 05731-5 to make a weather tight connection. Then remove the lens from the cover of the light to access the mounting holes on...

  • Can the Wiring on Magnetic Mount Stop, Turn and Tail Towing Light Kit Be Extended
You can add additional wire if you need to on light kit # TL21RK. You can cut and splice in the appropriate length of bonded 4-wire, # 16-4B-1. It is sold in 1 foot increments so if you needed 10 feet you would enter 10 in the quantity box. And you can use butt connectors, # 05731-5, to make the splices. I do recommend wrapping the connections in electrical tape to further protect them. Another option that will not require cutting and splicing is to use extension loop # RM-300150-00. It...

You may be able to find the license plate light location inside the rear hatch and use the ground for that light as well. If you need to run extended wire from the ground on the backup sensor, part # HM60100VA you can use part # DW02359-1 that can be purchased by the foot. If butt connectors are needed...

  • How to Wire 4-Pole Harness in B&W Custom Headache Rack BWPUCP7520WA
The B&W Custom Headache Rack with LED Lights # BWPUCP7520WA is a confirmed fit on 2003 through 2009 Ram 3500s but it is not a fit for your 2016 model year. For your 2016 (without Rambox feature) the similar headache rack that is confirmed to fit it is part # BWPUCP7522WA. This and other racks are shown on the linked page. This requires standard 4-pole wiring to operate the included LED stop/turn/tail lights. You will splice into the existing trailer harness wiring to access these signals....

  • How to Install 4-Pole Wiring for Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar RA960134
If your Silverado's 7-way trailer connector does not also include a 4-pole connector option as many do then you have a few ways to add the 4-pole wiring set-up you need for your Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar # RA960134. If the wiring at the back of your Silverado's 7-way has a round U.S. Car type connector you can easily add a separate 4-pole harness # C55384 which will plug inline with the factory wiring; both the factory and this 4-pole will be active at the same time. • Is There a Trailer Side 4-Round to 4-Flat Adapter
So I know the wiring harness you're describing, the 4-round, and there isn't an adapter to get it to go to a 4-flat. That's okay though because there is a really simple solution. What you can do is just cut off your round 4-way and add a standard, trailer side 4-flat, part # W787264. All you'd need to do is connect the wires with butt connectors # 05731-5. I've added links below to a couple help articles for you to check out as well on wiring which may be useful.

I did some checking but could not find an extension cable for Replacement Digital Wall-Mounted Thermostat # AT15029. The wiring would have to be extended the old fashioned way; by splicing in wires. I recommend using jacketed wire # DW03240-1 and butt connectors # 05731-5. The jacket will help protect the wires when you are performing the installation. This wire bundle is sold by the foot so for 20 feet change the quantity to 20.
