Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, well be test fitting the MaxxTow Tow Hook for Two Inch Hitches rated at 10,000 pounds, part number MT70028. Now before I begin our test fit, we will first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height for this vehicle is about 20 inches. Now this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or any other aftermarket accessories. To begin our test fit, well simply slide the shank of the two hook into the opening of the hitch, lineup our pinholes and secure the tow hook to the vehicle with the pin and clip.
This MaxxTow Tow Hook is perfect for recovery operations. It provides an easy attachment point for tow straps, cable or rope and is coated with a powder coat finish to resist rust. The hitch pin and clip are sold separately. That completes todays test fit for the MaxxTow Tow Hook for Two Inch Hitches rated at 10,000 pounds, part number MT70028. .

From the center of the pin hole to plate where the hook starts to come out is 4-1/8 inches. To the back of that plate it is approximately 1/4 inch less so 3-5/8 inches.

Although the first time it was asked they wanted to know the distance from the center of the pin hole to the start of the hook. That measurement is 4-1/8".
