How to Install 4-Pole Wiring for Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar RA960134

Question:

Hopefully this is a Simple Question for you to answer Of course me asking might make it more difficult to follow what I am asking I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado I am looking at the Rampage Superbrite LED Tailgate Light Bar RA960134 for my Truck and one to Mount to the Back of the 26ft. Camper OK here is where the Question might get more Difficult? It has a 7 way Plug 6 Outer 1 Center Does the Truck Already have a 4 Prong Tucked away behind the Bumper or somewhere? I guess I will find out in a Couple of Days when I put a New Bumper on it since the OLD one is rusting out on the Right Side. I know I will need a 4 Prong Flat for this to work. So is there a Plug out there that has a 7 Way and also a 4 Flat off to the Side or at the Rear to Connect the Camper when Towing and the LED Bar when using the Truck at all times and when using the Camper since I will have one Mounted to it a Y- Connector Short one so I can Connect the Truck Light and the Camper LED Light when Towing the Camper and when not in use remove the Y- Connector and revert back to just the Truck LED Bar in use..... Also I will need probably 30 feet of extension 4 Prong Wire to run from the Hookup from the Back of my Truck where it all joins in down the entire length of the Camper and up to the Height of the Taillights of the Camper I am not mounting it to the Caper Bumper because some of it will be Blocked due to the Spare Tire so I am Opting to Mount it slightly below or Slightly above the Tail Lights /Brake Lights of the Camper..... also will this give FULL Function ability? Of the LED Light for the Camper Brake Lights, Tail Lights, Turn Signal etc? Hopefully this will be easy for you to Answer and what all is recommended for me to get this done. Thanks in advance

If your Silverado's 7-way trailer connector does not also include a 4-pole connector option as many do then you have a few ways to add the 4-pole wiring set-up you need for your Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar # RA960134.

If the wiring at the back of your Silverado's 7-way has a round U.S. Car type connector you can easily add a separate 4-pole harness # C55384 which will plug inline with the factory wiring; both the factory and this 4-pole will be active at the same time. If you prefer to have one trailer connector with both 7-way and 4-pole formats included then instead you can use part # 74682, part # HM40920 or # HM40950. All give you both connections at one time.

On the trailer you can install a junction box # e99009 along with an # H20046 standard RV 7-way cable and then wire the trailer's existing light functions (and the new light bar too) to the connection posts inside the junction box. This will NOT require a new connector of any type on the truck. You will need ring terminals # 44-5310A and probably also some bulk 4-pole wire as you noted, part # 16-4B-1, and Butt Connectors # 05731-5.

I recommend using dielectric grease # 11755 on all splices to help protect against corrosion.
