Finding Location To Attach Ground Wire For Hopkins Backup Sensor System On 2015 Dodge Journey
Question:
I have a 2015 Dodge Journey and I am wiring your Hopkins backup sensor. I have routed the wires from the rear licence plate to the left rear tail light assembly. I am unable to find a metal location to the ground screw to ground the sensor. It seems as though there is nothing but plastic. Have you any suggestions for possible points where the ground can be connected. Thanks

If there is no metal close to the license plate holder on your Journey, you may need to remove the rear panel on your hatch and find a metal point inside the hatch to attach the ground to.
You may be able to find the license plate light location inside the rear hatch and use the ground for that light as well. If you need to run extended wire from the ground on the backup sensor, part # HM60100VA you can use part # DW02359-1 that can be purchased by the foot. If butt connectors are needed you can use part # 05731-5.
