I don't have any advice, exactly, but the back-up sensor plug that mates with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118760 on your 2016 Honda Pilot should be directly next to the plug for the main harness. I took a look at the Fuse box diagram for your 2021 Honda Pilot EX-L and the 30-amp fuse included with the Curt T-Connector # C56291 goes in location 2 of the fuse box near the brake fluid reservoir.

Factory connectors can be a real joy to release. Even when you fully depress the release lever they can feel like they are still latched. What I would recommend you try is depress the release lever and then use a wider slot screwdriver inserted between the two pieces to twist/pry the pieces apart. Can you back the bolt out of the weld nut or does the weld nut continue to turn with it effectively preventing it from getting removed? This situations get a little tricky and they are very situational but typically it requires getting the old weld nut out of the way and then using an access hole in the frame to fish wire a new carriage bolt and block in it's place.
