First we need to determine why that light is coming on in the first place. If it is coming on after you have installed adapter # C57674 then there is either a draw on the circuit or the vehicle thinks there is. It sounds like there is an internal issue with the controller and/or a short on the brake output wire. The easiest thing to check would be the vehicle side trailer connector. Corrosion can cause a short causing constant power draw on the blue wire. Make sure the connector is clean and free of corrosion inside where the wires attach and outside on the pins.

The wiring connector you are looking for to plug in the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # 118266 is located behind a kick panel on the front passengers side floorboard. There is a larger plastic nut to remove then you can pull out on the panel to remove it. The connector will be on the upper side of all the wiring there just in behind it.

In order for the # C6304 to function you would need to make sure that the batteries are installed properly in the light kit as well as make sure the power switch is turned on. This switch is at the bottom of one of the lights in a recessed opening.

On many Nissan vehicles like your 2014 Pathfinder, there is actually a third blue relay that needs to be installed in order for the trailer running light circuit to be activated. The running light relay is located in the relay harness behind the passenger floor board kick panel.
For the needed relay, you can use one of the blue relays from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.

Okay, I think I have a suspicion about what might have happened.... the jumper harness should be plugged into an EMPTY connector, as shown in the photo I've edited for you. You shouldn't have had to unplug anything to plug the jumper in. What you've unplugged is the wiring harness for the passenger side door.
Did your vehicle already have a 4-pole connector on it, or did it have no connector at all?

Since not all trailer wiring colors match your best option is going to be to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to identify all of the functions of the wiring on your vehicle and then using the attached diagram wire it up accordingly.

The Replacement Wiring Harness for Tow Ready Nissan Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118267 is a fit for your vehicle. The brake wire should not be hot and the 12V wire should be, so I believe you have the switched wires you were referring to. The first thing you are going to want to do is test the 7-Way on the Pathfinder using a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed. The pins in the 3:00 and 9:00 positions are the turn signal/brake light pins.
