Haven’t received this yet I’m hopeful it is what we need. Say’s it won’t be delivered until the 14th. Planned on using it on the 14th so I hope it’s here then.

by:

Fast shipping and exactly what I needed for replacement light on my snow blower.

by:

The light works fine. However, it had to be cleaned before use. Not sure what the heck it was covered with.

by:

For some reasons the lights came out of the housing onto the street

by:

Exactly what I wanted. I have other PETERSON lights. I drill a hole through the center of the mounting bolt for the power lead making it hidden.

by:

Great light. Easy install. Would like to know if the small hoke in bottom is to drain condensation. My other two lights failed after many years because they had water in them. The lights are the same as the original.

by:

Good quality light and mount. I added it as a backup light to my service body and couldn't be happier with it.

by:

it was what it showed to be and work f ine

by:

Super!!!

by:

Great customer service and follow up !

See what our Experts say about this Peterson Work Lights

  • How Do Clear Utility Light # 507-12 Wire to Vehicle
You'll need to first find the power and ground wire and then wire them to your battery through a switch as needed. If the lights are the part # 507-12 that you referenced then this grounds through the mounting hardware so all you need is to run a power wire to the single wire through a switch like # D16740. You'd want some 12 gauge wire like part # 12-1-1 (sold by the foot), for the wiring.

  • Does Lens have to be Adjusted to Maintain Beam Shape if Utility Light 507-12 is Not Level
Yes, you would have to change the position of the lens in utility light # 507-12 to maintain the shape of the light beam as if it were mounted level. Though it may be easier to move where the bracket is mounted on the light housing.

  • Are Two Wires Required to Install the Clear Utility Light # 507-12 on a Trailer
No, there should only be one wire coming out of the Clear Utility Light, item # 507-12. There is another wire inside that light, see photo at right, that is attached to the mounting hardware for grounding the light. This requires that the light be mounted to a surface that is a good ground. If your mounting location does not provide a sufficient ground you can use a jumper wire to ground the mounting hardware to a good ground on the trailer or vehicle.

  • Utility Flood Lights for Use on Tractor When Plowing Snow
If you want the highest light output for a given power input, then I suggest you go with LED-type lighting. LED lights will cost more up front, but they provide roughly 10-times the efficiency of standard incandescent lights, generate less heat and they avoid the need to keep replacement bulbs on hand. The linked page will show you all types and styles of utility lights and you can click on the filters on the page to select the shape, mounting method and bulb type you prefer. You can also...

  • Mounting Bracket Width of MaxxTow MT80637-2 Off Road Lamp
The existing base bracketry on your Peterson # 507-12 is 1-7/8 inch wide, while that of the MaxxTow # MT80637-2 is 1-1/8 inches. Since the old bracket is wider, you can reuse it, you'll just need to devise a way to shim out the base of the new lamp, such as using some stacked washers to take up the space differential. I've provided a photo showing the dimensions side by side. The photos aren't quite to scale, so it appears that the bracket of the MaxxTow lamp is wider than the Peterson,...

  • Can the Peterson Round Utility Light # 507-12 be Used in an Exterior Application
The Peterson round utility light, part # 507-12 is suitable for interior or exterior applications. The lamp receives its ground connection via its mounting hardware, so if the lamp is not mounted to a metal surface that is in direct contact with the trailer frame, a jumper wire will need to be ran from the mounting stud to the trailer frame.

  • Recommendations for a Trailer Mounted Utility Light for Night Boat Docking
With a clear lens and 42 diodes, light # BUL90CB, would be plenty bright for your application. If you wired it into the running light circuit, you would just have to have the truck running lights on to power the light and not have to install a switch. Of course this would mean the light would be on all the time with the truck running lights. The electrical components in the light are sealed. The gasket offers further protection from the elements and would work well for your application. A...
