Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the Optronics Opti-Brite 4" by 6" low beam seal beam to LED headlight conversion kit. Now this conversion kit will let you replace your vehicle's 4" by 6" rectangular seal beam headlight with these LED lamps. These lights will act as direct replacements for most of the OEM headlamps. These lights use LEDs, which are super efficient, ultra bright, long lasting, about 30,000 hours lifespan. They do use rear facing LEDs and a metallic parabolic reflector to create a nice broad, smooth beam. It has a low wide beam, which covers more of the road.
This does use the durable SMT construction of the LED circuit board. SMT stands for surface mount technology. That means it better withstands shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. The lens on these are a clear, polycarbonate lens. They do use a powder coated dicast aluminum housing, which is rust proof and these lights do meet the IP67 rating for industry standard protection against dust and moisture.
The plugs on them is a three prong. So they do accept the H43 blade wiring connector.These lights are compatible with 12 volt CC and 24 DC systems. They are DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. They do meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety System 108 and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety System 108 requirements for automotive lighting. Specs on this, it's for two LED headlamps.
The dimension's gonna be 6" wide by 4" tall. They do use 11 diodes per light, so 22 diodes total and what I'm gonna do is hook one of these up just to show you how bright they are. So we got some 12 volt power here. We'll go ahead and take the ground and we'll hook that up and we'll go ahead and hook up the power. Go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power and you can see the light, very bright light.
We're gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and with those off, you can see very bright, low beam headlamp, gives off the reflective beam. 11 diodes in that light. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Disconnect our power.But that should do it for the review on the Optronics Opti-Brite 4" by 6" low beam seal beam to LED headlight conversion kit.

LED headlights from Pierce are over $1500, our salesmen recommended I buy some online instead. I did some research and found these headlights to be the best bang/buck for quality and price. I first installed them on our 1994 Pierce fire engine and have installed another set of Low and Hi beams on our 2014 Pierce fire engine, a third set will be ordered when we take delivery of our 107' Pierce ladder truck. The lights look great and throw off a nice bright white compared to the yellow of the old sealed beams. The only reason I cannot give these 5 stars is that they are not plug and play. I had to re-pin the wire plugs in order for these to work on both fire engines. After installing the first pair I thought maybe in was a fluke but when I had to switch the same wires on another fire engine that is 20 years newer I knew it was not a fluke. Not a big deal, if you have a test light and are only moderately handy its an easy fix. But for someone just looking to swap a bulb it is more involved then that.
These headlights were a great upgrade for our fire engine. We have to engines, both with LED high and low beams. Zero issues and nice bright white lights. We even ordered a 3rd set for our brand new fire truck. Pierce wanted over $1000 to upgrade to LED headlights so we did the upgrade ourselves for less than half the cost!
The fit and connections were perfect. Delivery was quicker than expected. Installation went quickly. I would use Etrailer again and also recommend.

Does not hold up well. Lifetime warranty but takes forever to get replacements. I have chosen to go to other brands with better warranty service.
The headlights were nice, the shipping was excellent, the electrical connections were plug and play as well. The only downside is that the lights are not that great. The light is super bright and has a nice white color, but the light beam itself is very streaky. It looks good in the garage, but on the road it is incredibly hard to see the pavement when driving.
Help from Lori was great. I called Optronic's to see if head lights would fit my Jeep. Person on phone told me they didn't know and offered no additional help. Discovered etrailer carried these so called them. Lori didn't know, so she called Optronics tech support, found out they did, called me back, and placed the order. All was completed within 20 minutes. Lights arrived in 3 days. Good price as well. A COMPANY AND PERSON THAT UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thanks Lori, great job!!
Also worked with etrailer last summer to replace all lights on my enclosed trailer. Upgraded to LED. Had the same excellent service. Thanks etrailer.
Not worth the money or wait to get them. Not much brighter than sealed beams and no dimming for the DRL's. Very disappointed.
