Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

I have a full 2500 lb. capacity in my Ford F-250. The truck no longer "SAGS"!!

I personally WOULD NOT even mess with air bags. These are problem free

I wanted to reach out about the system not appearing how we have it pictured on site. What was different about the kit that you received?
Solid quality product and certainly helped with my above .75ton extra load configuration need. I give it a thumbs up and easy install. My application is a "small" camper with a wet weight of about 2000 pounds on a Ford F250; this certainly helped with conering roll stablity and less work on the overload springs.
Had Timbren rear suspension system installed on my F250 Super Duty. I use with a 3horse heavier blt trailer with 8ft short wall. I can't believe how much more stable the truck feels with this system. Love it and would most certainly recommend this system be added to their truck. I wish I knew years ago to add this system to my truck.

I ordered the Happy Jack camper system and the Timbren overload package for my 1999 Ford Super Duty. Both items showed up quickly and were very easy to install. Directions helped but they fit perfectly and were described on etrailers’ website perfectly. I will continue to shop etrailer. Thank you
As the other reviewers noted, these rubber springs were extremely easy to instal. The greatest difficulty was the removal of the existing rubber blocks.
These springs have added ample capacity to my truck and have relieved a lot of pressure from my leaf springs. I recommend them!
very easy to install, took about 30 minutes, didn't jack up the vehicle or take off tires, just dropped spare tire out of the way and went to work. Haven't towed my 5th wheel yet, but I am confident that this product will stop my truck from sagging so much under the load.
Super easy install on a 2000 Ford F250 super duty. I haul a 24 foot enclosed snowmobile trailer in the mountains which sagged the rear bumber by two inches. These Timbrens split that in half so I gained better front end control. Very important while in the snow!

Bought these to help with 5th wheel load. Really works well.We are full timer RVers so they get a work out for a bit. Would recommend.
Items received ahead of delivery date. Installed on 2000 F250 diesel and pulled our 2009 32 foot Sandpiper 5th wheel with awesome results. The rear of the truck didn't sag nearly as much under the 1,800 lb pin weight and the handling was vastly improved. Once the truck settled down the 1 1/2 inches of air gap between the bottom of the bumper and the axle, the truck didn't sag any more. Great product for the price, easy to install and performes as advertised.
I haven't used the Timbren suspension enhancement for my F250 as of yet. The shipping was fast and they product came as advertised. It was easy to install and looks great. I think that it will work great when I hook up to my fifth wheel.
Prompt shipping, and the product appears to be just as described. These springs were easy to install, once I got the factory bumps off. I carry over a ton in my F250 daily, and these raised it back up a good inch with the load on.
Work great to keep my truck from sagging when I pull my equipment trailer, smooth normal ride with empty truck, easy to install with no maintenance

Easy installation on 1993 F-150. Used both main rubber Spring & added plate with longest bolt. Looking forward to seeing reduced squat during loading the bed.

Changed my ride live it
I know it will be lovely when loaded or the trailer on. However,it rides like a wagon empty with brand new premium shocks and struts empty. Thud thud thud. You really cannot feel the shocks or suspension. Found exact same item plentiful for 60 bucks on eBay after I bought these for 250. I may cut these in half or put air bag on. I do not like the ride empty. No hard feelings. It is a good product maybe just not for me.
