Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2000 Ford F-250 Towing a Horse Trailer

Question:

Which application would you recommend for Ford F250 4x4, the Air Lift Air Cell Helper Springs or Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System? My truck is a 2000 model and I use it to pull a 3 horse trailer with a 8.5foot shortwall living quarters. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I prefer the Timbren springs to air bags when towing a trailer. I recently installed a set of the Timbren springs in my Dodge Ram and they do a great job when I am towing my fifth wheel trailer. The Timbren springs are more ideal when the load in your truck bed is constant, such as a trailer. The air bags are more ideal when the load in your truck bed fluctuates or when the load may be heavier on one side than the other.

For your 2000 Ford F-250 4x4, I recommend installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Springs, # TFR150SDE. These springs will fit models with or without factory top overload springs and there is no drilling required to install. I have attached a link to the installation instructions as well as a link to an installation video. You will notice that the truck in the video is older than your F-250, but the installation process will be the same.

Keep in mind, the Timbren springs or an air bag system will not increase the payload or towing capacity of your truck. They are designed to assist your vehicles existing suspension to reduce sag and improve handling and stabilization.
