Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this etrailer Tandem Axle Bolt Together, Steel Trailer Fender, for 14" to 15" wheels. It is for a quantity of one. Now this is a rounded fender cover here. That'll cover two tires on one side of your tandem axle trailer.
It'll act as a splash guard helps keep any road debris from hitting other vehicles and it helps to protect your trailer's cargo.Now, what I want to do is zoom in and describe it. It is a bolt-together design. So if I zoom in here just to show you on the top, you'll notice the bolt and on the bottom, you'll see the connecting plate. This bolt-together designed fender comes as two halves, connecting plate and the hardware. And the reason they do that, it's designed to save shipping costs because of smaller unassembled size, when compared to a single piece vendor.Now it is will also offer extra strength to the fender because the way it's assembled, you can see this connecting plate on the bottom that holds the two pieces together, and it uses a grade five hardware to do that, so when it's all put together gives you a lot more strength, also.
Now, the edges on this, both the inner and outer edges, if you notice, have a nice one-inch curve radius slip on them, gives you extra protection and a nice top quality appearance. The material's a sturdy 16 gauge, cold rolled steel construction. Now it is a raw finish, so you might see some surface rust spots on it, but those can be easily sanded off and then it needs to be primed and then painted, to provide even more resistance to corrosion and also to match your trailer's paint finish.Now, this is a weld-on or bolt on installation, and it's not pre drilled. And the mounting brackets for bolt on installation. We do sell those separately on our website.
This fender is made in the USA. Specs again, it's for tandem axle trailers with 14 inch to 15 inch diameter wheels. It is for a quantity of one fender, fender weight, it's about 13 pounds. And the last thing I want to give you the dimensions on it. The total length from that end, all the way to that end is going to be 64 and a half inches long, nine inches wide.

Your fenders arrived yesterday. They look fine. It would have been nice if the person I dealt with on the phone had mentioned the panels that close off the back of the fender. I noticed the panels on your web site while checking to see the status of the fenders that were supposed to be delivered on March 30 but didn't arrive until the 31st. Not a problem, since I now have to wait for the second order of the backing panels. Not totally the salesperson's fault as I should have noticed the lack of backing on the website photo. Always been good dealing with you folks so no problem.
I absolutely hate to leave this store a bad review because I've had nothing but good experiences with them in the past. However I'm extremely disappointed. I Purchased these replacement fenders through etrailer after shopping around and even though they were cheaper elsewhere I opted to do my business with etrailer and pay a little more knowing how impressed I've been in the past with the level of pride they take in shipping items, I've gotten boxes inside of boxes in the past. Unfortunately this time I recieved $xxx worth of dented up fenders for my trailer. They were only wrapped in stretch wrap, not even bubble wrap much less a box. Very disappointed in etrailer after this purchase. You guys can do better, I've seen you do better, with the rims and tires I bought there for this same trailer.
They do not work for 15 inch wheels . My trailer had no fenders so I had nothing to compare them to. I bought some 14 ga. Material and made them 4 inches longer. I radiused the sides with a snap on impact deep socket. Mig welded them up and will sand down tomorrow . They fit great now. Thank you.
Metal was thick enough to weld safely to the trailer frame and thicker angle iron. I did a crappy spray can paint job(just brake cleaned them before painting) and they are still looking great a year later.
They sent me two of the same side fenders I believe two left fenders, I would have returned them and gotten a the correct one sent but I didn't realize until to late. We had gotten someone to come out and weld them on and he is the one who figured out they sent two of the same sides. Because he drove two hours to come weld them on for us and we needed them put on asap, we had to just weld them on anyways. Although they aren't even our welder did a great job at making them look the best he could. Wish the correct ones were sent so that they would have been perfect but it's just a bit of a bummer. The fenders them self are great looking good quality and sturdy it was just who ever packed it unfortunately made an error. I purchased a lot more things from this buisness and all are great other then this error
The fenders are good quality although had to modify them to fit my trailer. My issue is how they were shipped. no protection aside from a plastic film on them and shipped both fenders in one box so they came with some scratches which was pretty disappointing. I reached out to ETRAILER but no one ever responded. if they'd take a moment to pack them to protect them during shipment I'd have given 5 stars. Although exact same size as my original fenders, I had to use ratchet straps and a floor jack to get them in position and drill new mounting holes. In the end, aside from some scratches during shipping they look great and have had no issues. I'd probably buy them again but would call and ask if they'd protect them instead of just throwing them in a box.
My trailer had a few tire blowouts that destroyed the plastic fenders. After ordering steel fenders and brackets from etrailer, my trailer looks brand new! The delivery and products are flawless!
Fenders were as advertised at a good price point. They replaced ones that had been on the trailer for 20 years. I'm certain these will last just as long.
Fenders look good had to trim a little off both ends of backing plates. Yes I will buy from them again.

Metal condiut at a angle in the middle and all under the outer edge so it would be extra strong in case i have to stand on it.

Fenders started to have surface rust all over them even though they are supposed to be stainless steel after only 3-weeks. I do not recommend these for salt water application.

The fenders worked great I put them on a 2007 Champion boat trailer they fit pretty good. That being said the way that they are prepped for shipping is not good..they are staked together with nothing between the two fenders so the bottom one gets scratched up. There is very little protection for the fenders during shipping so the top one was scratched up also.I put them on anyways it was not worth the trouble of trying to send them back.
Original destroyed by a tire failure. Arrived quickly and well packed (wrapped). However I did not realize they were bare metal. No problem for a rattle can. How to video was very helpful. Complete install, minus paint, took about four hours. A second set of hands would be very helpful!

These fenders are absolutely awesome on my boat! Seem well made and sturdy. The only complaint I have is the same as others.I feel they could shipped with better packaging, I have 3 scuffs from shipping
