Hello neighbors. It's Brad here, at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Hopkins seven way two four pole with LED light tester built in. Now having a seven pole on your vehicle generally means that you can pull some decent size trailers and a lot of your larger ones are gonna have that function. And really that's just to gain your light functions. Your brakes, your running light, and your turn signals.

But if you need to tow a trailer with a four pole. You're not gonna be able to hook up to that seven way. And that's where this adapter comes into play. It's going to plug into the factory seven way here and still give us our four pole just by plugging in. We'll get those same functions of our running lights, brake lights, and turn signals.

And you're able to hook up to just about any trailer with this combination. Now you also have a built in LED light. That's going to give you signals to let you know if the wiring's working properly. Now, what I really like about the design of this is, Hopkins calls this the pistol grip. And a lot of times getting your seven way plugs in can be kind of tricky.

And sometimes you get really can't get a good angle on it. This one, just like the name implies it's like a pistol here. And that just pulls out nice and easy. It also makes it simple to push in place. You get a little bit more grip and just a better angle.

You also have this loop here. So when you're attaching your four pole. Nice and easy or if you're separating it, you can use this as leverage. And when you're not towing you're not gonna want to have this just hanging out on your seven pole. But what's really nice is you have an included dust cap here. So you can put that over the four pole and that's gonna keep your connection here nice and clean. It's gonna keep dust, dirt, debris, everything out of there. That way, when you are ready to hook up you can just simply pop this off and you're gonna have a nice clean connection. Unlike other adapters. This one has a nice braided cable here and this is gonna allow for a little bit more maneuverability and making it easier to hook up to that wiring and kind of have just a little bit more flexibility. Which is always a good thing. Now, the integrated LEDs are really nice for letting us know that our wiring on the vehicle is proper. And when we run it through the light sequence. We'll be able to see those lights light up. So starting with our running lights. Next, we'll do our left turn signal. Our right turn signal. And then finally our brakes. Now this way, when we're hooked up to our trailer, we can at least verify that the wiring on the vehicle is good. So if you are having any wiring issues on your trailer you can use this tester to figure out for sure if it's coming from the trailer side.
