Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Loadstar ST235/75R15 radial off-road trailer tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 15-inch matte black aluminum trailer wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly is ideal for trailers off-roading on mud or on uneven terrain, but it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. The wheel it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And it is the Sendel Series T17, which is a mesh style design with a matte black finish to it.

What's nice is they do put a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel to protect it from scuffs and scratches. A few dimensions on the wheel. The diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is 6 inches wide. The bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

And the pilot hole, which is this large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter on this is 3.75 inches. And I also wanna mention, if you notice, this does not have a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, which again is 3.75 inches. The wheel lug size used on this is 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,200 pounds.

Now the tire itself, it's a Kenda Loadstar special trailer radial tire. It is a radial tire, which means it's constructed with double steel belts and full nylon plies for long life. If you look at the tread on this, has a nice deep, rugged tread blocks, which will help give excellent grip in any off-road conditions. And we mentioned it's an ST tire, which stands for special trailer tire. Has this sturdy sidewall, so they can handle heavy loads.

It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the tire size is stamped on the sidewall. And right here, it'll show ST, for special trailer, 235/75R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on it is 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top, when it's inflated, it's 29 inches. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an 8-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,860 pounds at 65 psi. And this tire does have a speed rating on it, and they stamp the speed rating on the sidewall in a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the size of the tire we just went over. You'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter Q. Speed rating Q will mean this has a 99 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications.
