Hello neighbors, I'm Steven with etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at this Loadstar ST 235 75 R15 Radial off-road tire with the 15 by six inch rim. Now this wheel and tire combo does have what's called a modular design, and that's simply these big round holes inside the wheel there. That's what they call a modular design. Now it does have a six on five and a half inch lug pattern, and it is a load range D, and this kind of tire on wheel being off road is ideal for trailers, like I said, like an off road, mud, sand, uneven terrain, rocky surfaces, that kinda stuff, and it can also be used on highways and other paved roads, but keep in mind it is a trailer tire and thus only rated for trailer use. Do not put these on your off-road vehicle itself. Now I wanna zoom in here and show you some other features.
It does, again, have that six on five and a half inch lug pattern. Now those holes for the lugs are half inch, and they are rated at this wheel itself is rated at 2,835 pounds, while the tire itself is rated at 2,470 pounds at a 65 PSI. The maximum speed rating on this bad boy is 99 miles per hour, but we all know we're not going that fast, right We're going with the posted speed limit of course. It does have a nice five year limited warranty and a one year satisfaction guarantee. Now this is a eight ply rated tire.
The section width is 9.3 inches. So across the front here, that section width is 9.3 inches, and the pilot hole diameter, now this is coming from the backside. Looking from the back end, this pilot hole diameter is 4.27 inches wide, and going back to the treads here, so this tire has very, very deep rugged channels as you can see. So water, debris, that kind of stuff. I can get my finger in between most of 'em, and I'm a pretty big guy and I got big meaty hands.
So pretty deep tread there, pretty nice looking. This is what's called a ST tire, which has sturdy sidewall, so that can handle those extra heavy loads. And the black powder coat finish on the rims there of the wheels, you can see there a nice powder coat finish. It's on top of what they call an e-coat. So it's gonna give it an even extra layer of protection against corrosion, that kind of stuff.
Now it is a Radial tire, and it's constructed with double steel belts and full nylon piles for a long life. So they've kind of mixed those together, make it extra sturdy, which is very nice. Now it is assembled and meet all DOT of, you know, DOT specifications, Department of Transportation, and it is safe, again, for use on highways and off-road as well. I purchased 4 of these for a old wagon running gear that I converted to a header cart. I had to drill the mounting holes bigger since the hubs are around 60 yrs. old but worked great.
2 of the 3 tires failed. The warrantied tire came with a slow leak. Apparently you can't reroute a warrantied tire when you're on a road trip with your camper. Even if you pay the carrier they chose and reroute it as their own option. Huge PITA if you're traveling long distances in this thing. Warranty experience is unpleasant and be prepared to do it a lot!
I needed a new set of tires for a camper I recently sold. I had bought trailer tires from etrailer in the past with great results. My expectations were met and exceeded again this time. I received the tires this afternoon and immediately installed them on my Stainless steal plate Motorcycle trailer. It fits two Harley Motorcycles so the "E" rated 1.650 lbs rating per tire was perfect and great for highway speeds with 87mph rated tires will run smoothly. These are perfect for doing heavy duty hauling at high speeds.

I swapped out my OEM Kenda Hole-n-One 18x8.50-8 eleven year old tires on my 2012 Yamaha G29 Drive gas golf cart with your new Kenda 205/65-10 trailer tires. They fit up fine and also look so much better than the OEM Hole-n-Ones.
I do have extra-strong springs in the rear, for passengers, for what that's worth. Jumping on the back makes no rubbing. No rubs at max turns in the front.
I much appreciate your advice. These tires look great and with my low intensity use will last a really long time. Their added tallness will help me on my woods trails where I encounter lots of brush.

BTW, the OEM lug nuts on the fronts-only were beastly tight having never been off. And it seems a frequent problem. Finally I got them loose, with a creative solution but things like heat, lube, etc did not work. Large torque only turned the wheel as it sat on the ground. I devised a method never mentioned on-line and got these buggers off. A breaker-bar with 4-foot pipe on the nut to loosen; roll it to the highest elevation. Then attach a single-handle lug wrench to the lowest nut. When you pull on the 4-ft pipe the wheel will roll until the lower wrench is stopped by the ground. Finally a SNAP and the upper one comes loose as the lower one stays tight. Hope this makes sense. Even with a 4-ft cheater it takes a strong pull. I think it's just a safety-thing, for the manufacturers to tighten these so much.. FYI.

Going on two years now and these tires are holding up strong on our 1971 Apache Pop-Up trailer which was converted to a permanent hardside camper/ice fishing combo thingy. I bought a utility trailer at auction but couldn't move it due to flat/bald tires. After much research (never having owned a trailer) I bought the tires/wheels from etrailer, mounted them on the trailer, and brought it home.

-there was some lacking information on the website in regards to tire specifications, such as top speed and why it was only rated at that speed (55mph). having that information clarified would have been very nice but it seems to be related to these tire sizes in general. IIRC, phone tech support was not able to really clarify the issue either, so I just went with my selection and best guess as to the reasons why after doing further research.
I actually haven't even used my trailer yet even though it's been a year, but coincidentally, I will actually be doing so next week. Tires have held air all year long so I doubt there will be problems. a month or two later, I ordered another set of wheels and tires for a motorcycle trailer I picked up cheap. same issue with needing them as above. there was no issue with those in ordering or receiving either.
Bought a used utility trailer and it didn't have a spare tire. Recalling all the trailers I've seen on the side of the road that obviously had a flat tire they had to leave the trailer to go have it fixed or replaced I bought this tire and rim. Just to make sure it was good I have mounted it on the trailer a few times and it performs perfectly. Thanks! Very nice tires for a great price. I installed them on our little StarCraft Tent trailer, upgrading from the stock 8inch tire/wheel combination. Absolutely zero modification on this particular trailer, both on the hubs and the rear spare tire mount. Raised the stance a bit and trails better than ever. I have approx 1000 miles on them and so far no wear to speak of. A most beneficial upgrade!
