Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Loadstar ST 235 75R 15 radial off-road trailer tire in a load range D and it's mounted on this 15" matte black machine aluminum trailer wheel with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel some's ideal for trailers offloading on mud or other uneven terrain, but it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. The wheel they use, it's an aluminum wheel, it's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And it's the AM03 series wheel, which you can see is an open six spoke design with a matte black finish. Also, what's unique is round, if you notice around the edge of the open spokes, they do have a machine finish on 'em.

They do use a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel protects from scuffs and scratches. And one of the nice features I like on this wheel is the lug nut wheels where your lug nuts go, that you steal inserts in there. So it helps keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. So when you put this up on the studs of your hub, put your lug nuts on there and tighten 'em down. Prevents those holes from wearing down, eliminates the need for constant re tightening of your lug nuts.

Dimensions on the wheel itself is 15 inch diameter. The width on just the wheel is six inches wide. The bolt pattern on this is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, is 3.74 inches. And I mentioned that because when you, if you notice this wheel does not have a center cap, if you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately.

You need to get a center cap that has that same diameter as the pilot hole, which is 3.74 inches. This does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,960 pounds. Now a tire, it's a Kenda Loadstar special trailer radial tire. This radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and full nylon flies for a nice long life. You look at the tread design, it has the deep rugged tread blocks that'll give you the excellent grip in your off-road conditions.

It is an ST tire. It stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right down here ST. for Special Trailer 235 75 R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this, 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated it's 29 inches. And we mention it's a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity of 2,860 pounds at 65 PSI. And it does have a speed rating stamped on it. And that speed rating is stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where you'll find it is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter Q. Speed rating Q will mean this is a 99 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire wheel, somebody does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications.
