Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Really happy with my tire/wheel package upgrade. Replaced the factory grey spokes and tires from 2007 when the original tires finally failed. The wheels were covered in rust from the salt up here. Only towed the trailer about 100 miles since the install but it tows soooooo smooth and looks pretty dang good.
I inadvertently stepped up an inch in tire size when I got the 15” wheels up from the factory 14” because “I know what I’m doing” but the clearance doesn’t seem to be an issue thankfully.
I thought it was just a bigger wheel. Lol

SPENT OVER 1000 DOLLARS ON THIS TIRE AND WHEEEL PACKAGE AND THEY CAME MOUNTED
WITH NO BALANCING AT ALL. THAT IS RIDICULOUS MAKING MEW GO TO A PRAVATE VENDOR TO HAVE THESE WHEELS BALANCED.

The tires with rims that we carry are only balanced by matching the high spot on the tire with the low spot on the rim. This is typical with trailer tires are unlike with passenger style vehicles in that that the main responsibility is supporting a load behind a tow vehicle, not providing a smooth ride for passengers. You can have the tires balanced if you prefer. Just keep in mind that trailer wheels are centered by the position of the lug bolts [these wheels are lug-centric] and not the center bore of the wheel. For best results, have them balanced using a pin plate adapter. This mimics the way a lug-centric wheel is mounted to a hub.

Dressed up the trailer exactly as i wanted and matches the rims on my other trailers now. Delivered fairly quickly with no damage. The only negative I had with these was that they had put a sticker on the outside of the tire and when that sticker was removed, it left white sticky residue where the sticker was right on the outer side wall. Took a couple extra minutes to clean, so I really wish they would’ve stuck that sticker on the backside of the tire but it wasn’t so annoying that it would prevent me from buying again in the future. But hopefully they take note.
One more thing to note, the hollow pockets for the Lugnuts are pretty narrow. So the majority of your impact sockets will not fit in the holes. I was forced to use a standard chrome socket, not designed for an impact to fit inside of the lug nut pockets/holes. Otherwise, the wheels are beautiful came exactly as described, and I would definitely buy again.

Great looking set of wheels! Exactly what I ordered and they were shipped in a very reasonable amount of time. We lost a tire and wheel on our tandem axle snowmobile trailer as a result of an unfortunate incident. Trailer was a 2009 model and was concerned we would not be ab le to match the existing aluminum rims. This looked correct in the photos so ordered it. Perfect match! Quality tire that we are very pleased with. Will likley end up replacing them all in next couple of years with this same tire and wheel combo.

- Speed Rating of Kenda Karrier Tire The speed rating for Kenda Karrier tire part # AM39053 is 81 MPH. That is the maximum speed recommended for these tires. Most tires have a M, L or J on the sidewall of the tire that indicates the speed rating. This particular Kenda tire has a M rating. The letter M means 81 Mph, while L means 75 Mph and J means 62 Mph maximum speed. If the tire does not have a M, L or J on the sidewall, the default speed rating is 65.
