This wheel comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Lionshead, 16 inch by seven inch aluminum Eagle trailer wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern in the matte black finish. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust-proof. And this is the Eagle series, which is a split eight spoke design. And you can see it has a matte black finish to it.
Now they do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front, which will help protect scuffs and scratches. One of the nice features I like on this wheel is the lug nut wells. If you look inside, they have steel inserts here that are in the lug nut wells and that's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically what happens is when you put your lug nut and tighten it down, it'll prevent the holes from wearing down, and that'll eliminate the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years.
They offer flat tire service, which is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. And if you notice right over, is it right up here You notice that it does come with a metal valve stem already included, installed. Now the center cap that goes in here is not included. We do sell those separately if you need one. Now, when you do get a center cap, you do wanna make sure to get the diameter cap that'll fit into this pilot hole diameter.
Pilot hole diameter on this wheel is 4.88 inches. So you wanna get a cap that has the same diameter that then the cap will go in here when you install it. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards. Now I do wanna give you a couple measurements. We're gonna measure the diameter and the width, and the diameter is always measured inside the inside.
So if we take our tape measure and if we go inside to inside, you'll be able to see there's your 16 inch diameter. And the width is the same way. When you measure it, you'll measure inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, and there's your seven inch wide wheel. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna try to measure that, it's pretty simple on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case eight, because if you look, the lug holes are directly across from each other. So when you go to measure your bolt pattern, what you're measuring is pick any hole, let's say this one, and you'll measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel it's gonna measure six and a half inches. So it's an eight lug, six and a half inch bolt pattern. This wheel, we'll use the lug size of either half inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 4,080 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this Lionshead, 16 inch by seven aluminum Eagle trailer wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bulk pattern and the matte black finish.
