Video Transcript for Review of Kenda Trailer Tires and Wheels - Off Road Tire with Wheel - KE78JR

Hello, neighbors. Today, we're looking together at this Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Tire with the 15 inch black spoke wheel. I'm Steven with etrailer.com, thank you so much for joining me. Now, getting into it, this rim does have what's called a 5 on 4 1/2 inch lug pattern. I'm gonna go ahead and throw a graphic up here on the screen. So the number one reason we get tires and wheels ever returned here, if any, is because of this wheel lug pattern here.

So when it's an odd number, you wanna measure from one stud directly diagonal in between two other studs across from that first stud. So just like the diagram on the screen shows you, that red line, that's how you're gonna measure with a five lug or an odd lug pattern wheel. So please make sure you're getting the right part the first time. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is very ideal for your off-road trailers, such as mud, snow, sand, that kind of stuff, or just uneven terrain. So very nice beefy tires as you can see here.

It can be used on the highways as well and other paved surfaces. And just note, it is specifically made for trailers only, it has a nice sturdy sidewall that can also handle those heavy loads and everything. So when they constructed this guy, it was constructed for trailers only. Now, again, this tire is gonna give you a nice traction in those deep, rugged terrains, you know, water, mud, snow, that kind of stuff. It has a nice eight-spoke rim they call it.

So those triangles there, that's what they consider a spoke, and it has eight of them, so it is an eight-spoke wheel. And the powder coat finish on here, I'm gonna zoom in, give you a better view. So that nice, shiny powder coat, it's black powder coat, and that's on top of what they call their E-finish. So a very nice, smooth, elegant look, and those dual finishes that are gonna help protect it long term from rust, corrosion, that kind of stuff. Again, it's a radial tire that's constructed with double steel belts and full nylon piles.

That's gonna give it a super extra long life with those dual constructions. Now, I wanna point out here when I get it sideways, zoomed in, these deep rugged treads. And you can see, I got some pretty beefy hands myself, I'm a big boy, and I can get my finger down in between these guys. So pretty big, deep tread. If I had to guess, I'd say about 1/2 inch deep, give or take. Now, again, this is a 15 inch rim by 6 inch wide rim. But that section width, the overall section width of the tire here, the whole side there is 9.3 inches. The outer diameter is, overall, 29 inches. And the pilot hole here from side to side in between is 3.19 inches. Now, the wheel or rim itself has a weight rating of 2,835 pounds, while the tire itself has a weight rating of 2,470 pounds at 65 psi. Now, this is a Load Range D or an eight-ply tire, and its speed rating is 99 miles per hour. That's right, 99 miles per hour. Now, please, obey the posted speed limits. I know we're all doing that anyways, but again, it can go up to 99 miles per hour, we don't wanna get anywhere close to that, obviously, we wanna be safe. It's got a nice five-year warranty and a nice one-year worry-free guarantee. Now, the wheel stud holes here in the center or where the lugs are gonna go rather those are 1/2 inch wide, or they fit a wheel stud that's commonly known as like 1/2 inch by 20. And that's gonna do it for our look at this Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Tire. I'm Steve with etrailer.com, thank you so much for joining me today. I hope this information's been helpful. I hope you have fun out there and stay safe.

Love the new tire and rim pkg. Very deep lug aggressive tread pattern that carries through to the sidewall. The black rims go so well with the rest of the black accessories and trims on the trailer. Great value for the price

Kenda Loadstar 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 10" Solid Center Wheel - 5 on 5-1/2 - LR E - Item #AM3H454 Were exactly what I needed, ordered, and received! Fast ! Thank you very much!

I build custom trailers and my customers trust that I give them the best available with each build. These tires, and etrailer are my go-to sources for quality products and excellent customer service. Kenda makes a great tire! You will not be disappointed.

by:

Easy bolt on with name brand tires for my sled trailer.

by:

I purchased 4 of these for a old wagon running gear that I converted to a header cart. I had to drill the mounting holes bigger since the hubs are around 60 yrs. old but worked great.

by:

I needed a new set of tires for a camper I recently sold. I had bought trailer tires from etrailer in the past with great results. My expectations were met and exceeded again this time. The quality of the product, the communication, the price and the speed of delivery cannot be surpassed. I got a great set of Kenda tires on USA made rims for a great price. Tires are kind of like brake jobs, do you really want a cheap one? Sure A****n is great for a lot of stuff but I’m not going to go barreling down the road towing a trailer on poor quality tires. Do yourself a favor and get it right the first time. It’ll save you money in the long run!

by:

Great experience!!!!! From ordering to delivery, my experience was excellent! The tracking system was terrific, and the product arrived when promised. The tires and wheels were great, and were reasonably priced! Nice job to all involved at etrailer. Will use the company again!!!

I received the tires this afternoon and immediately installed them on my Stainless steal plate Motorcycle trailer. It fits two Harley Motorcycles so the "E" rated 1.650 lbs rating per tire was perfect and great for highway speeds with 87mph rated tires will run smoothly. These are perfect for doing heavy duty hauling at high speeds.

by:

Going on two years now and these tires are holding up strong on our 1971 Apache Pop-Up trailer which was converted to a permanent hardside camper/ice fishing combo thingy. We're very pleased with the quality and ease it was buying from etrailer. Will definitely purchase replacements, in the future, from you guys.

by:

I changed the tire size from 480/8 to 570/8.
Wasn't
sure if I could do this but with the help of the web site and the list of spec I was able to figure it out and ordered the the HD tires and wheel.
Tire apear to be very good quality.
Came in very quick, packing was great.
Absolutely awesome company to do business with, it is a pleasure.

by:

Great service. I was redirected to buy product in stock rather than waiting a month for my order to be filled. The suggestion was an excellent fix to a longer lead time.
I am very pleased with etrailers business ethic and Carols excellent service !
Thank you. I will use etrailers again.
Best regards

Ordering easy, prices are good, just a unfortunate that you didn't have my first choice load range D tires in stock. But glad you let me know promptly!

I have received my tires and just want you to know how great it all worked out with your help.

I swapped out my OEM Kenda Hole-n-One 18x8.50-8 eleven year old tires on my 2012 Yamaha G29 Drive gas golf cart with your new Kenda 205/65-10 trailer tires. They fit up fine and also look so much better than the OEM Hole-n-Ones.

I do have extra-strong springs in the rear, for passengers, for what that's worth. Jumping on the back makes no rubbing. No rubs at max turns in the front.

I much appreciate your advice. These tires look great and with my low intensity use will last a really long time. Their added tallness will help me on my woods trails where I encounter lots of brush.

Your free shipping and sale prices made this project come in at about half- price of local suppliers. You folks provide a great service..

Here are a couple photos -

BTW, the OEM lug nuts on the fronts-only were beastly tight having never been off. And it seems a frequent problem. Finally I got them loose, with a creative solution but things like heat, lube, etc did not work. Large torque only turned the wheel as it sat on the ground. I devised a method never mentioned on-line and got these buggers off. A breaker-bar with 4-foot pipe on the nut to loosen; roll it to the highest elevation. Then attach a single-handle lug wrench to the lowest nut. When you pull on the 4-ft pipe the wheel will roll until the lower wrench is stopped by the ground. Finally a SNAP and the upper one comes loose as the lower one stays tight. Hope this makes sense. Even with a 4-ft cheater it takes a strong pull. I think it's just a safety-thing, for the manufacturers to tighten these so much.. FYI.

Had an old trailer that my dad left behind, couldn’t find a used 5x5 lug pattern wheel, one quick Google search later, etrailer to the rescue. Fit like a glove, hauling with them the next day! Even shipped to my house a day earlier than quoted!

by:

Bought 2 of these for my pontoon trailer to replace the old ones. They arrived earlier than promised, seem to be of good quality and are exactly what I needed.

by:

Ordering and delivery of product quick and easy. Package arrived in great shape. I’ve installed the wheel/tire assemblies on my trailer and look terrific. Hoping they wear as well as they look. Great tread pattern on the tires to ensure proper tracking.

by:

Have been ordering these tires for about the last 10 years for a small generator trailer that I have. I changed them about once a year. The price is such to wear. It’s affordable to do that because each trailer keeps the price down. I always get my shipments in a timely manner and they are, easy to find on the trailer site. Would never buy them anywhere else but trailer.

by:

Great tires and wheels at a great price.

by:

The valve stem cracked on our first outing and the tire went flat on the interstate. Fortunately, we had a Tire Minder that went crazy and we got off the highway immediately. The trailer was behind our fifth wheel and we would not have know it until someone notified us, possibly ruining the axel. That was kind of scary. I was surprised the valve stem was cracked being new.

by:

Quality product. Perfect for my trailer.

by:

Ordering the tires for my landscape trailer was straightforward using your website. The tire’s arrived in excellent condition and the packaging was also excellent. Your instructional videos helped me to select the correct rim type for my trailer. I had no idea that there were specific ways to confirm the rim/lug spacing until I looked at the video. Thanks for making this a pleasant experience.

by:

Bought a used utility trailer and it didn't have a spare tire. Recalling all the trailers I've seen on the side of the road that obviously had a flat tire they had to leave the trailer to go have it fixed or replaced I bought this tire and rim. Just to make sure it was good I have mounted it on the trailer a few times and it performs perfectly. Thanks! (no having to leave my cargo unprotected on the side of the road because of a damaged tire)

by:

Excellent experience. After being in a jam over the weekend with a blow out, I needed the correct tire and wheel. These were for a Big Tex utility trailer with 5 on 5 which is impossible to find at retailers in my town. I ordered a pair on Monday and had them by Wednesday noon. They were shipped in their own box. I would highly recommend buying from this company and will use them for future items I need. Excellent customer experience.

by:

Very nice tires for a great price. I installed them on our little StarCraft Tent trailer, upgrading from the stock 8inch tire/wheel combination. Absolutely zero modification on this particular trailer, both on the hubs and the rear spare tire mount. Raised the stance a bit and trails better than ever. I have approx 1000 miles on them and so far no wear to speak of. A most beneficial upgrade!
