Today we're gonna take a look at the Peterson 12 inch long Great White LED Trailer interior Cove Light. Now this interior cove lighting strip will provide a nice bright light to illuminate an interior space. It is perfect for enclosed trailers, it does use molded ceiling to help resist dust, moisture, and vapor. It does have six white LEDs on it, and it is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt systems. It is a surface mount design, you'd mount it to the trailer wall or the ceiling. It can be mounted either horizontally or vertically.
Also the shape of it allows it to fit into corners.Now the mounting hardware to install this is not included. If you notice it is a two wire design, it includes the white ground wire, the black power wire, and the lead length on those wires is about five inches. This part is made in the USA. The light out put on this is 400 lumens, it does have an IP rating of IP 67. Last thing I wanna do is give you the dimensions on this, and then we're gonna hook it up to some power to show you how bright it is.
Overall length, from the very end of the mounting bracket to the other end is right at 13 and 11/16ths. The width on it, and we're gonna do two widths. We're gonna measure the end, which is the widest part. That's gonna be right at one and 3/4 inches, then the width of just the light itself is one inch.Now what we're gonna do is hook it up to some power. Then I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light so you can see how bright it is.
Let's hook up our white wire, hook up our power wire. I'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power, and there you can see with the lights on how bright it is. What I'm gonna do now is we're gonna turn off the overhead lights. There you can see for six LEDs it gives off a pretty bright light. Again it can be mounted either way.
Go back and turn on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the Peterson 12 inch long Great White LED Trailer interior Cove Light.

Ordered these to add as lights inside my Decked truck bed cargo system. Work great. Note: To wire this up for a Decked cargo box inside light, you can either do a waterproof toggle switch, or go with a magnetic switch like you would use for an alarm system. I did the latter. You can tap into your bed lighting or to a constant 12vdc at the trailer harness. The magnet switches are set so that the lights turn on when I pull a drawer open, and off when I shut it. Attached some photos to show what they look like
The light itself is great! It would work better if there was a deeper recess on the bottom where it mounts to the trailer. This would help conceal the wiring and extend the light toward the rear of the trailer to better illuminate the license plate.

Have actually used used these in different setups. 2 enclosed trailers, a 10' long and 22 ' long. Also used 2 for pickup truck bed lighting mounted under the rails of a tonneau cover.

Reordered after breaking on install. It wasn’t the products fault. Someone shut the trailer door on it just prior to final install and broke the lens. Light still works! Quality product!
This was a great replacement for the original lic plate light. I did have to drill one new hole because the new light base was a tad wider than the original base. The wiring was very simple: hot and ground and it worked like a champ.
Used to replace corroded incandescent back-up lights on trailer, these work great, easy to wire in, great illumination.
