Absorbs Road Shock and Reduces Chucking

Upgrade your trailer's suspension for a smoother ride with these cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. These units deliver a ride as smooth as you'd get with torsion axles, but at a fraction of the cost. The rubber cores effectively absorb vibrations and bumps and reduce the back-and-forth movement known as chucking. Unlike standard cast equalizers, the Equa-Flex's rubber cores soak up this energy like a sponge instead of transferring it to your trailer and cargo. The result is a more comfortable ride with less wear and tear on your trailer.

Easy Installation

Illustration of a triple axle trailer suspension system

It's easy to upgrade your trailer's standard suspension with a set of cushioned Equa-Flex equalizers. You will need 18 wet suspension bolts and 12 shackle straps (both sold separately) to incorporate the equalizers into your trailer's suspension system. Four of the suspension bolts will be used to suspend the equalizers from the center hangers, and the other 12 bolts will be used with the shackle straps to attach the equalizers to the double-eye leaf springs. If you would like to replace the bolts that attach the springs to your front and rear hangers as well, you will need 4 additional suspension bolts (sold separately).

Installed great good product, about 7 month later I realized I got the wrong ones.

Pay attention to axle spacing when ordering.y fault not a fault of themprdict

by:

The order was to replace OEM parts. There was no questioning whether or not the parts were the right fit for my trailer. I looked at other options but felt it was in my best interest to stick with the OEM parts. Still in the search to change out my suspension completely.

by:

Customer service has been fantastic A+ at finding what would best serve my needs and application.

by:

Have not been able to put on Camper yet, but the service and delivery was exceptional. Thanks to Brittany.

by:

These equalizers look well built. I will be installing them in a month. My old ones had welds broken. So far very happy. Price was very good. Will take pictures when installed

by:

With new shocks big big difference

by:

Product shipped super fast and got it sooner than expected. It just delivered a couple hours ago and I haven't installed it yet but I'm planning on doing that tomorrow. Thank you so much guys, this is awesome.

I was able to install these myself. Was super easy once I got my trailer jacked up! I replaced the equalizers and the leaf springs at the same time. We are getting ready to take it out next week! They performed great last year and I felt the trailer rode better with these on!

by:

Looked at another brand, decided I liked the Lippert better. Although it was $[XX] more than where I started I was willing to pay the extra due to it having a variable width and it being heavier built than the product I was looking at. Paula was excellent in assisting me with this product, (4) springs, u bolts, wet blots / shackle kit.

by:

Ordering my parts from etrailer was a joy. They helped in every way they could. Received my parts on the day they said. Havent had time to put them on yet. Tickeld pink with etrailers service. Not the first time we have bought from them.

by:

This was a great upgrade. I installed myself, the only issue I had was getting them lined up with the leaf spring. However, I got it figured out and the opposite side went much faster. I think the trailer pulls much better and you don't get the bounce after hitting a bump, RR tracks etc.. Glad that I made this upgrade. If I had one negative, it would be the packaging, the powder coat on one was scratched through.

by:

I bought these to replace the worn-out ones I had on my trailer. It was approximately two hours install per side. I purchased all new standard bolts with never fail bushings along with all new straps. I was told I could replace the brass bushings with never fail bushings when I purchased the set. When I received equa-flex equalizers I noticed they all had pressed in brass bushings so I was not able to use the never fail bushings. I had to go down to the local trailer store to to purchase six wet bolts. All in all I am happy I just have six extra bolts and six extra never fail bushings.

by:

These seem to be working ok but do not appear to be designed for use with the HD upgraded Moryde greaseable shackle kit that I purchased with them . You can see in the photos that they rub and bind

by:

First I must say what great customer service I received when I called to order the Equa-flex for my trailer. I talked to Rose in sales and she helped me pick the right suspension enhancements for my trailer. I installed the Equa-flex 5-6k and the Dexter heavy duty shackle kit on my 30' 2016 Forrest River Wildwood. The kit and the instructions were easy to read and understand. The kit is definitely an upgrade over the stock suspension, just look as t the pictures I provided. The trailer rides smooth and handles great. I will be installing the Equa-flex kit and shackle kik it on my Dads trailer this year. Thanks Etrailer for your great products and customer service.

by:

These will be going back. Lippert did a terrible job prepping these for shipment. They showed up with evidence of metallic grinding, dropping, and less than a quality piece. The bubble wrap that was around the pieces wouldn’t protect a Christmas ornament from the dollar tree. Definitely not going on my trailer like this.

by:

Great product. My camper came with these when I purchased it new in 2012. I had a leaf spring break on our last trip and decided to replace the equalizers while replacing the springs. They do a great job with absorbing shock from rough roads which improves handling and track of the camper. I recommend this product and I recommend etrailer.com. Prices and selection are good and the fast, free shipping is definitely a huge plus. Attached are photos of the installation which include pics of the old ones that I replaced.

by:

I needed to replace everything (suspension) on my 45 year old trailer. The equa-flex equalizers appeared to be an upgrade over standard type equalizers. It seems to tow better and smoother. Replaced leaf springs and all associated shackles with greasable shackle bolts. The MORyde shackle kit did not work for my application - the shackles were too long, went back standard length shackles for the correct angles on the equalizers. My trailer weighs around 6500 lbs., we’ll see how the equa-flex units hold up. Overall, I would recommend this product. etrailer was great to deal with.

by:

product shown has new top pins which were not included, also the packaging was 1/3 destroyed. My old pins do not have grease fittings, so no way to grease the Equa-Flex devices.

by:

Superior quality. Just what we wanted.

by:

Received the equalizer a little after lunch today. Had the passenger side of the trailer done in about an hour after some choice words getting the old one off. Putting this in was simple, and should make a good ride and stop wearing my tire out.

  • Which Equa Flex Kit is Designed for a Triple Axle Trailer with 7k Axles
The issue is that when you add an axle to a trailer you have to move all of the axles to allow the axles to sit in the correct spot. Otherwise you'll have ride issues. So your current center hanger location for your tandem setup would become the location for the middle axle center. The Equa Flex kit you'd need for a 7k, triple axle setup is the part # LC279689. I wouldn't recommend having Equa Flex equalizers for the front two axles but not the third one.

I checked with Lippert and the rubber cushioning cannot be replaced individually. If that is worn to the point of being ineffective, you will need to replace them with the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Triple Axle - 5K to 8K # LC279689.

  • How Do You Know When Equa-Flex Equalizers On Triple Axle Trailer Should Be Replaced?
I reached out to my contact at Lippert and the Equa-Flex equalizers you have on your Grand Design Momentum Triple Axle Trailer do not have a mileage rating, but instead just get replaced when they are worn. I would take a close look at the equalizers and the shackles looking for any fatigue cracks and are abnormal wear or deterioration of the rubber located at the bottom of the equalizers. If you see wear then it is time to go ahead and replace the equalizers. If your trailer has 3000lb-6000lb...

  • Could Having Different Axle Spacings on Trailer Contribute to Leaf Spring Failure
Uneven axle spacing isn't a great sign and most likely is related to the issue. If the leaf springs are the same length and the hangers are spaced differently that would not be the safest setup though and it would be wise to move the hangers to allow you to have even axle spacings. To prevent leaf springs from braking best option is to make sure you aren't overloading the springs that are installed and that all of the suspension components are installed properly in the correct locations....
