I have a pretty new car and was not going to retro fit anything to it. This hitch seems strong and it fit like a frickin' glove. the install video and instructions were idiot proof and it was installed in 35 minutes from wheels on the ground to wheels back on the ground. I have only used it once so far with the bike rack and bike attached, but so far, perfect. I bought the swagman chinook 2 bike rack to use in it. great and smart customer support as well. thanks.
I ordered this aftermarket hitch along with the 1.25 inch adapter to 2 inch adapter to use an already owned bike rack I had. This product was an excellent purchase, the delivery was quick, the installation was fairly easy too, it took about an hour including time to jack up the car. I am completely satisfied with this product, if you need a high quality hitch I suggest purchasing this one.
Glad I ordered the DrawTite hitch from etrailer.com great product. Thanks to the installation video it went on easy I didn't even have to jack the car up. The lowest part of the hitch is only 2 3/4 inches below the bumper so clearance will not be affected, it's gonna be great to be able to haul my little utility trailer around
I purchased a class I trailer hitch from E Trailer so I could attach a bike rack to my 2013 chevy sonic hatchback car. The hitch came quickly and was well packaged in a heavy duty box. I had studied the on line E Trailer installation video before purchasing this item, and the video was excellent and the hitch bolted up exactly as the video described. The small wire guides included with the hitch made dropping the bolts through the cars tubular frame very easy. I completed the entire installation in approx. 1 hour. The hitch is well made, and fits up over the muffler perfectly with no clearance issues. I've purchased many RV parts from E Trailer in the past including tow bar mounts, and brake assemblies for towing etc; all have been great products with great service and delivery. I would purchase again.
I originally bought my mobility scooter to pull behind my motor home, much handier than a car. Problem was I couldn't very well drive the motor home every time I went to a store just to take my scooter. To my surprise e trailer.com had a custom fit hitch receiver for my Chevy sonic. Fits perfect, super easy installation, very sturdy, works great.
Just installed this hitch and hooked up my bike rack, went on pretty easy and looks like it will work perfectly. Still, need to connect the wire harness to be able to pull my small trailer for those large items that can not easily fit in the hatchback.
Overall a great product at a great price.
Took longer to jack up the car and let it down. Excellent quality, great directions and setup tools. Would buy again if needed, only problem was two month delay because of how high demand. Well worth it, I mainly use it for hauling mtn bikes/snowboards/wakeboards/custom mini camper. Get this one if you need one.
Trailer hitch fit perfectly. The only problem I had was the installation kit came with the wrong size nuts for the bolts. Luckily I had some that were correct.
The hitch came in with no problems at all. Installing it was a breeze just follow the video. I used a small floor jack as a lift and I didn't have to lift the car.
Had it on in less the 30 min.

Took half an hour to install this Draw-Tite 24878 hitch. Did the job on ramps, no lift needed. A perfect fit without any problems. Woulkd easily recommand this product.

This is the 2nd of two products I ordered through etrailer.com. My level of satisfaction for this trailer hitch is as high as it was for the bicycle carrier I also orderd. The Draw-Tite trailer hitch for our Sonic hatchback installed with no problems and has given us nothing but outstanding service. We just sold the Sonic and now will be looking at the Draw-Tite trailer hitch for a 2016 Equinox ASAP.

Great hitch, my bike rack can be installed it removed within a minute. Fits our Equinox nicely and with the etrailer rubber hitch cover, it always looks great.
This hitch is poorly made. Once installed the receiver was crooked ( this is a bolt in item and the car is new, no accidents) and then, to top it off, I have to use an 1 1/4 " to 2" Adaptor for my bike rack and I can find no off the shelf adaptors that will fit. This is because the receiver is blocked at the other end and doesn't allow the adaptor (or just a regular 1-1/4" hitch bar) to slide in far enough so it can be pinned!! Chinese junk!! Stay away!!!!

This hitch is designed to have a stop welded into the receiver tube to prevent a higher capacity Class II accessory from being used. This is intentionally done as a safety measure. Overloading can cause the receiver tube to bend or the hitch attachment points to the vehicle to fail.
Very pleased with the trailer hitch. We drove to Florida and back to New Jersey last year with our bikes on it and did not have any problems.

Great! We have no problems and are very pleased.
Easy to install, although the directions kind of sucked! The video was better. Will use it mostly for a bike rack on my tow car behind my motor home. Good product so far

Great
Awesome hitch and it was easy to install. Like the spring wire bolt grabbers that help you snake the bolts through the frame. No drilling in the frame needed. The whole installation took about 45 minute. First thing is to losing or remove the tail pipe rubber mounts and then take the bolts and install the special square hole plats onto the bolts. Then us the spring wire bolt grabbers and attach the to the bolts and then snake them through the frame. Slide the hitch up over the muffler to the bolts in the frame and slide the wire spring grabbers through the hitch holes then pull off the spring grabbers and install the lock washers and nuts and then torque them tight. Very Easy and simple job to do.
The hitch has been wonderful. It took me about 30-40 minutes to install. The printed directions were very clear and easy to follow. I did not use online video, but didn't really need it. I was able to install it myself though I can appreciate that it would be easier with another person. Overall, I'm very pleased with the hitch and has enabled me to take my bike with me everywhere. Good job etrailer!
When I first told my biking buddies I 'd ordered a hitch for my Sonic their reaction was "Huh?" But when I began hauling bikes around using a deluxe 2-bike rack, they saw that my rig was rock solid with zero movement. I'm no longer nervous lugging my bikes! I'm VERY pleased with my hitch!
Fit perfectly and pretty easy to install took maybe an hour to do.
