The packaging was solid and so was the fast delivery. Good fit only a couple of modifications to miss one of the factory rivets. Pushed to one side Against the leave spring bracket the hole used to miss the rivet fell in line with the rolled ninty of the hitch. A grinder and cutoff wheel did the trick. I would have to drop my gas tank down out of the way if I want to through bolt the rest of the hitch plate. The edge of the tank is in line and next to the frame. I'm thinking on drilling and taping and using some lock tight and call it good. It was fairly easy to install once you tie one end up and then hold the other end and mark your holes with a sharper. Through bolt the side you just drilled and then repeat. Very well fabricated I would recommend this style of hitch to anyone.

1973 Ford F-100, F-150, F-250, F-350

Installed on a 1973 Ford F-250 with 37-3/4" frame. Installation was straight forward. Product fit well. I put the second hole on the last riveted frame cross member, everything lined up perfectly. Make sure to allow enough room for the washers on top of the frame rail, I had to use a die grinder to open up one hole because I made the hole too close to the frame and could not get the washer to sit on the frame rail. A second person and C - Clamps helped a lot. We lifted the receiver into position, clamped it in place. I drilled one hole on each side, installed the bolts, then removed the clamps and drilled/installed the rest of the hardware. Contrary to the instructions, I did not have to remove my spare tire (thank Jesus!).

Great product, shipped fast. This is my third Curt hitch and one of many times I've used etrailer.

After a year and several 10,000 tows. Still going strong and the finish is holding up nicely.

1993 Ford Bronco

This hitch appears very well make and was fairly easy to install on my Bronco. Even at 70 I had no issues and it took about an hour at a slow pace. First thing I did was wire it to a floor jack and jack it in place to mark the holes, step drilled as recommended and fished the bolts through as is necessary on the Bronco due to the fuel tank position. I didn't see any Bronco install pic here so here are a couple of pics. Very similar to the F150 type install except for the fuel tank.

1999 DodgeRam Pickup

Fits perfect on my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 and easy to install.

by:

Installed Curt hitch class 4 2” and after a year here in Mn still has a gloss finish on black paint. Well made and installed fairly easily and had all hardware required.

by:
Ram 3500

I'm 75 years old and not getting around like I used to. The Curt class IV hitch aligned perfectly with frame existing holes. Center hole needed to be drilled, easy enough to do. The existing 3500 lb.bumper hitch was removed. Some wiring was attached to frame and needed to be relocated. My son stopped by to help with installation, but we found a floor jack could be used to position hitch without need for extra muscle. Once lifted, we used clamps to hold in place for hole enlargement and drilling. Looks like it will tow much more than truck is certified to pull

by:

The product was an easy install just as they said. The wiring was also simple to install. It works perfectly and also increases the value of my truck because it’s equipped to haul trailers or campers with an taillight / brake lights hook up.
I was very impressed with this and will definitely contact etrailer again if I need anything else.

by:
1977 Ford F-100, F-150, F-250, F-350

Fit my 1977 Ford F250 Super Cab Camper Special with step bumper. The guide holes fit right over the rivets on the frame rails. Leaves adequate room for my spare tire to continue to be carried by the undermount system. Just what I was looking for. Still mulling over where and how to place my trailer wiring receptacle. Might put a six-pin round in the left license plate light hole.

by:

Product quality is exactly like every other Curt part, no problems. Packaging and shipping from etrailer was lacking. Albeit quick, but the product was outside the box on my doorstep. Hitches get beat up and rusty over time so not worth complaining, but still a bit disappointing.

by:

It was indeed a perfect match to my F-350's rear end. It tows large trailers well, and as of last month, survived a rear-end colission "without a hitch," pardon the pun. It is still perfectly straight. Good product!

by:
1980 Ford F-150

I ordered the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on the Memorial Day weekend and it was delivered on Friday, the same week. I found the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver fit my 1980 Ford F150 Pickup without any problems. Other places I checked did not have Trailer Hitch Receivers for vehicles this old. It took a little over an hour to install. The extra time was needed to drill six 1/2" holes in the bottom flange of my truck frame.

by:

Fitment wasnt perfect it was a little narrow for my frame but still bolted up and has hauled good, no problems, was put in a 1995 f150 4.9 rwd 5 speed single cab long bed

by:
1990 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350

The hitch arrived in 3 days in great condition. Good packaging. My installation took a little longer than most I am sure. My bumper mounts have a "C" shaped cross section that covered the areas on both sides of the frame where toe rear most bolts needed to be installed. Had to remove the bumper.
I have purchased several items from ETrailer over the years. All have been high quality and the prices can't be beat.
I will always dream with etrailer when I need towing components.

item looks great . It will be quite some time before I will be able to get it installed .First off the truck has a home made hitch welded on it now . I will have to get it off first . My shop is working outside and with winter coming it will take time . I'll try and send you some pictures of the one I have to cut off , And in time send you one with it installed on truck .

Dont know yet . I have had a few health issues last year . The hitch looks great and in my mind Im sure it will work as it should . Number one is the person that owned the 1985 Ford F350 dually had someone weld a make shift hitch on it , and I will have to grind it off to put this nice hitch on .

2015 DodgeRam Pickup

The hitch receiver was beautifully finished in gloss black, well made and bolted precisely to my 1994 Dodge Ram 1500. Each of the six bolts enclosed with the receiver, when inserted in the holes in my truck's frame made the receiver absolutely, perfectly aligned. You can be proud of the welds and metal were solid and smooth professional fabrication. Install time took me 1 hour. I spent 15 minutes of the hour balancing the receiver on my floor jack and chaining it to the jack, since I was doing the job by myself. I got the bolts finger tight then applied my 1/2 inch impact wrench with a 3/4 inch socket to finish the job. I would buy this again.

The hitch continues to meet all my original expectations!

by:

Good quality hitch. Fits as it should. Sits low on my lowered truck but does the job.

This is the second CURT mfg. class 4 hitch that I've purchased from etrailer.com; each for two different trucks. The website is easy to navigate, the product arrived on time in a sensibly packaged box, and most of all they are made in the USA - which is something I take seriously. No room for improvement here, I'll be back for other items.

Seth M.

All is well with the second hitch, Ive used it numerous times with no issues. The first one was on an older truck that I sold. Thank you again for selling American made products.

  • Hitch Fits for Full-Size 1988 Ford Bronco XLT
Reese hitch 37069 has been replaced with a new part # 37133 and while this hitch does fit many different vehicles (including Ford pickups) it does not fit your full-size 1988 Ford Bronco XLT. I will send you a separate link showing all vehicle fits for this hitch. Confirmed hitch fits for the full-size 1988 Ford Bronco XLT can be seen on the linked page. If you do not have the roll-pan bumper you can use the Class IV # 14001 or Class V # C15300.

You will need to drill a few holes to get this hitch mounted on your truck, but that is the case for all of the Class IV Hitches available at this time. If you are thinking of flat-towing, an electric trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 cannot be used for your application since your towed vehicle does not have electric brakes. Also, another complication is that we do not offer any tow bar base plates for the 1974 Ford Bronco; you would have to have base plates custom fabricated, which could be potentially very costly. For a heavier duty Class IV, the Curt # 14001 with its 10000 lb towing and 1000 lb tongue weight capacity would be a good choice.
