Today we'll be reviewing the Heininger Advantage Sports Rack V rack two bike carrier for two inch ball mounts, part number HE1011. The V rack lets you simultaneously transport two bikes and tow a trailer with your hitch. This convenient lightweight bike rack clamps around your two inch ball mount quickly and easily, keeping your ball mount free for towing purposes. The dual arms limit the need for bike adapter bars on womens, childrens, and full suspension bicycles. The study soft plastic cradles here with the rubber straps firmly hold your bike in place. Though rotates a better fit bikes of various sizes and shapes and it'll also slide along the arm allowing you to adjust bike spacing.

Also included with the bike rack is a cable that can be used with a padlock, sold separately, to further secure our bikes to the bike rack. Also included with your bike rack is a convenient storage bag. Now before we begin there are two accessories sold separately which can be used instead of a ball mount. This is receiver mount HE6007, which let's you mount the rack in a two inch hitch without using the ball mount and part number HE6008, which is a converter rise mount which will let you use your rack in an inch and a quarter hitch. Today we'll be using a two inch hitch so for demonstration purpose we'll first use our receiver mount, HE6007, and slide it into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install the included anti-rattle bolt.

This will secure the receiver mount to our hitch. Now before we install our V rack we'll want to make sure that the arms holding the cradles are out. They do pivot away to make it easier to store your bike rack when not in use. We can then slide our rack onto the mount and clamp it down pushing on the crossbar of the rack securing the bike rack to the mount. With that done we'll now go ahead and remove our bike rack from the mount and install our standard ball mount.

Now this bike rack does require an inch and a half of space on the shank of the ball mount to work correctly. We'll now go ahead and clamp our bike rack to the ball mount shank. After pushing down on the crossbar, locking it down, we'll then install our pin into the keyhole slot here on the crossbar. We'll now load our bike onto the bike rack. We'll first need to undo the rubber straps to expose our cradles.

We'll place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around securing the bike tot the bike rack. Finally we'll use our integrated lock to completely secure it.
