Will the Draw Tite Hitch # 41004 fit a 1992 F-Super Duty/F450 W/Liftgate
Question:
Hello, I have a 1992 F-Super Duty/F450 What its actually called seems to depend on who you talk to, but its a cab-chassis frame and has a 15k lb GVWR if that clarifies things, and it has a flatbed and an Eagle Lift brand liftgate on it. Im hoping to add a hitch to this vehicle since it currently has no mounting point for towing at all, but Im concerned about clearance issues. Would any of your hitches fit on my truck without sticking out so far that it would block my liftgate? My preference would be for a class IV or better, since I figure that if Im going to buy a hitch I would rather have one strong enough any possible needs I might have for it. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

I do not have a confirmed fit for your 1992 Ford F450 with the Eagle Lift liftgate, but I spoke to my contact at Draw Tite and he informed me of a way for you to determine by taking a few measurements on your vehicle.
He said that from the rear most mounting hole to the end of the receiver tube is 10-7/8 inches. So if you can find that hole and then measure out 10-7/8 inches and that distance is not too far for your lift gate to still work you should be good.
My contact did say that most times hitches and lift gates are not compatible together.
