Perfect for light-duty towing, this custom, vehicle trailer hitch receiver features fully welded, gloss powder coated steel construction. Drawbar sold separately.The hitch is extremely easy to put on. The difficult part is opening up the bumper holes for the 1/2" bolts , but after that it is a cinch. The kit is very well thought out and comes with everything you need to bolt it up. I recommend getting the wiring kit also. You will need a ball for the kit so if you know what size I would get it shipped with the kit. It takes a 3/4" shank ball.
My second time ordering from etrailer.com and it won't be my last. They had the best prices I could find.
Good solid product, hardest part of install was enlarging the hole on the driver side as the muffler gives no access on the front side. A right angle drill and a step bit made quick work of it. Smaller hands are a plus getting the 2 front bolts fished through.
This was my third hitch from etrailer, and it was another smooth install. This hitch was installed on a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. The hitch fit perfectly. It was extremely heavy for a piece so small, you would think you were handling a truck hitch. The quality was excellent. The only thing that made this install take longer then normal was having to enlarge two holes on the rear of the car. All the necessary hardware was included and even a tool to help you fish the bolts down the frame rails. The only other tool that may help is a magnet to help position the plates the bolts go thru. A great accessory for any car and honestly something all cars should have.
Arrived by 10 am on the estimated delivery date. It was supposed to take an hour to install but ended up taking just over half an hour and it was pretty easily doable without a second set of hands. I was a little worried about getting the bolts and spacers up in the frame rail but Curt included a fishwire in the kit that made it a cinch, although I used it my own way which i thought was quicker. It seems very solid and should have no problem pulling my little utility trailer or cargo carrier. I will definitely use Etrailer and Curt again!
I was happy with the item. Hard part was getting the bolts into the proper position on the car. Purchased for a Pontiac Grand Am. The entire problem is the space you have on the car. It isn't with the trailer hitch.
Installed in only 45 minutes that included the drilling. The muffler does slow the process down, but it's easy to work around. The hitch looks great and perfectly matches the factory mounting points.
Not only did etrailer ship my product our quickly but they also upgraded my delivery order and got it here in three days for no extra charge. Now I don't know that they will always do this, but just that they have shows how customer focused they are. I was contacted and kept up to par with the status of my order and to boot the hitch wen on very nicely. I had no problems installing this hitch and the instructions were simple and straight forward.
Hitch installed well, with little difficulty. My hardware kit was missing a nut, emailed e-trailer and they are sending a new one no questions asked so overall great service.
The hitch was a perfect fit and the instructions were very clear & precise. I'm more than satisfied with my order.
