Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this Pintle hitch ball. This tow-ready Pintle hitch replacement ball is a two and five 16ths inch ball with a capacity of 14,000 pounds. Of course, you don't want to exceed the capacity on this ball or any other part of your towing system if the capacity is lower. Let me give you some overall dimensions to give you the confidence that this is going to work for you. So looking at the diameter, as you can see, it is an inch and a quarter. The shank length is two and three eighths inches and a nylon locknut is included with this.
And I do wanna point out that this will not work with the buyer's Pintle combo, so I just wanted you to be aware of that. But if this otherwise meets the specs that you are looking for, this is going to be a great Pintle hitch ball for you to consider. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. Nice heavy duty ball
ordered this to fit a pintle-ball hitch that I originally bought in a 2" ball, but a 2-5/16 ball is more useful on a heavy duty pintle, and I already had a normal 2" hitch, but didn't want to buy a whole other Pintle for $80. this did the trick to convert it. just check the size of the shank, other pintle balls come in 1-1/8"
WARNING FOR PINTLE REPLACEMENT! This will not work on the standard draw-tite or buyers pintle hitch. These will require a 1-1/8" shank. Ensure you know what you have prior to purchasing. The do have the correct size when searched out.

Six stars. If I ever start an internet business, I will pay these guys (gurus) to teach me how they do it. Always correct parts. Always have what I need. Even stuff I didn't think I could find. Shipping times promised, then received in half the time. I have an order waiting for me to complete, but can't spend the money yet. But going to order some lights (too many to choose from) and connectors, and other things like a SNAP RING. Who carries 2.25 inch snap rings? Oh, review ball? It's great. Shipped as advertised. Fits my trailer and hitch. What else can you say about a ball?
I've towed trailers every bit of 14,000 lbs, wrapped chains and shackles around it with tow straps and abused this thing for a year now and it doesn't care. Great product and fits perfect on my pintle hitch!

This is our 2nd purchase of a 2 5/16" Pintle Hitch Ball from Etrailer. The company has a good website which provides a lot of info to get the right item the 1st time. The ball being rated @ 7 tons makes for safer handling of a couple of specialized police trailers (a 5 ton Counter Terrorism HQ trailer & a 6 ton ICX Skywatch tactical surveillance trailer). This rated ball capacity is one of the highest available and @ a fair price. Drive safe.
Great replacement ball for my pintle hitch! Fits perfectly! Very heavy duty at 14k!
It is hard to find a 2" ball with 1 1/8" shank. This fits an older pintle hitch to perfection. Weight rating is great also. Shank length could be a little longer but length was adequate. etrailer does a great job of supplying trailer related parts.

My Hitch & hitch ball arrived yesterday and is exactly what I thought it would be. The quality is very good and everything was packed well.

The people I e-mailed and talked to where all knowledgeable and very helpful. They even expidited my shipping so I got the package a day sooner.
I was changing my Draw Tite Pintle Hitch from a 2" ball to a 2 5/16" ball and this product fit perfectly for the application. Seems to be a good quality 14,000 pound ball. The shipping was fast and the website was easy to use except I would have liked to see the shipping cost and tax estimated a little earlier in the process. I would use etrailer.com again since I don't have a trailer dealer near by.
After trying all the local shops I turned to etrailer for this hard to find pintle hook ball. I had even bought a whole new pintle for 1 1/4 because i thought I would not find this item. Due to pintle hitch ball wear and shock load we like to change the hitch ball at least once a year for safety.
This product is a good fit and will keep us in the safety comfort zone
we like to be in.
