Replacement 2-5/16 Inch Trailer Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Hitch
Question:
I am getting a travel trailer with a 2 5/16inch hitch. I currently have a Equalizer weight distributing hitch with a 2inch ball. The instructions for the Equalizer require a ball with a 1 1/4inch shank diameter, and no longer that 2 3/8inch shank. This item 63019 is the only one that I see on your website with those dimensions, but it says it is for a pintle hitch. Will it work as a regular ball? Or should I be looking at something different? Thanks

The Tow Ready Pintle Hitch Ball you referenced, part # 63019 would work just fine with your Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch. As you said, those systems use a ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter with a shank no longer than 2-3/8 inches. You'll want to make sure that the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your TT (plus the weight of anything stowed behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle) doesn't exceed the capacity of the Equal-i-zer system you're using.
