Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement 2- 5/16 inch hitch ball. This is designed to replace the hitch ball on your Curt Securelatch combination pencil hitch. So you can see it's the exact same thing as the fall on your Pinto hitch. So if you've lost or damaged that ball, this is going to be the replacement that you need to make that operational again.

It is going to fit with the 2-5/16 inch couplers or lunette rings with a two and a half inch or three inch inside diameter. It is constructed of a high strength drop forge steel and both the ball and the hardware are coated with zinc to help give them a corrosion resistant finish so we don't have to worry about rust or corrosion, anything like that.Very simple to get installed. You're just going to need to put this on the pencil hitch and then obviously put on your lock washer and your nut and then torque this down to the specifications in the instructions to get that all re-installed. Do want to give you a few measurements just to give you extra peace of mind that this is the part that you need. So our ball diameter, like I said, it's two and five sixteenths of an inch.

The shank diameter is about one and a quarter of an inch and then our overall distance from the bottom of our ball head there to the end of our threading we're right about three and a half inches, just like the original. So could be a little extra peace of mind.
