2001 Toyota Sienna - Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LEDs - 4-Way Flat Connector - Wireless

  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Hopkins
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal

Removable LED lights provide signal lights for your towed car without you having to tap into the car's wiring or run wires under the car. Wireless transmitter plugs into your RV's 4-way connector and sends a signal to the magnetic lights.

Features:

  • Removable tow lights provide stop, tail, and turn functions for your trailer or towed car
  • No need to wire your trailer or tap into wiring on your towed car
  • Wireless transmitter eliminates the hassle of running cords to the lights every time you tow
    • Plugs into 4-pole flat trailer connector on RV or tow vehicle and mounts to the frame with a magnet
    • Emits a signal that triggers tow lights from up to 65' away
    • Operates on a standard 12-volt system
  • Heavy-duty, non-scratch magnets on the lights provide a secure grip without damaging your paint
  • Long-lasting LEDs are more efficient, faster acting, and brighter than incandescent lights
  • Sonically sealed lenses keep moisture out and prevent corrosion
  • Durable polycarbonate bases house batteries
  • On/off switch lets you use the lights as needed, conserving battery power
  • 8 AA batteries (not included) are required to power the lights
    • Flashing LED on driver's-side light indicates low battery
  • Department of Transportation compliant

Specs:

  • Application: towed cars or trailers no wider than 80"
  • Light diameter: 4"
  • Length of wire between lights: 106"
  • Transmitter wire length: 76"
  • 90-Day warranty

Hopkins Tow Lights mount on the back of your towed vehicle.

These wireless, removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer. With this setup, you won't need to tap into existing wiring for installation. With other magnetic tow lights, you have to run cords from the lights to the front of the towed car or trailer every time you need to tow. These tow lights work wirelessly to eliminate that hassle. And the wireless design also allows you to move the lights from one vehicle to another in minutes.

Hopkins Tow Lights magnetic base.

The lights attach directly to any metal surface with the included heavy-duty, non-scratch magnets, which won't damage your paint. And the handy on/off switch lets you use the lights only when you need them, saving battery power.

The 4-way connector plugs into your vehicle. The transmitter attaches to your tow vehicle via a heavy-duty magnet.

Setup is simple. Plug the included transmitter into the 4-way flat trailer connector on your RV or tow vehicle. The transmitter mounts to the frame of the RV or tow vehicle using the built-in magnet. Turn the switch on the driver's-side light to "on," and attach the tow lights to the back of the towed car or trailer, as far apart as is practical. Secure any excess wire between the 2 lights with a twist tie.

Each light is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included). A blinking LED indicator on the face of the driver's-side light signals low battery. This indicator should be checked every 2 hours to be sure your lights still have adequate power.

Used these to tow aluminum body F150. Magnets strong enough to securely attach below rear bumper which is about the only steel part available. Super easy to set up and they work perfectly

They work great on my Class C pulling my Honda CRV.

by:
2019 Thor Windsport Motorhome

I just received them and tested them out and they work great. They are very bright and responsive. I look forward to using them in the future when I tow my vehicle behind my RV.

Haven’t used it yet. Looks good and delivery was fast.

VERY GOOD SERVICE I HAVE ORDER THINGS FROM FOR YEARS I THINK THEY ARE THE BEST BAR NONE

by:

Have issues with lights blinking erratic

by:

Ordered these because my car towing wiring had a problem and didn't have time to get it fixed. First set arrived but had a manufacturing defect and right hand light didn't work (not etrailer's fault!). Called etrailer and they were very accommodating in sending out a second set which arrived in time. The second set worked perfectly. Good service and extensive follow up by etrailer shows they care. I'll use them for other purchases any time!

Still works great. Save us on a trip when the car to RV connection went [bad].

by:

No big deal, install batteries and put on toad !

Should have done this years ago before they cut into my tail light wiring and also had to deal with rusted out 4 prong plug in over the years.

Still the best and not a problem, quality product

by:

Test connection went perfectly. Will see how it goes when we hit the road in May. The lights look well made and should last me a long time.

Thank for the great service!

Lincoln MKZ

These things are the best thing since sliced bread!
We have a Lincoln MKZ that already has a hitch on the rear for towing a small enclosed trailer. The thought of having to "hard" wire in a wiring harness for towing behind the motorhome that would still allow the trailer to be towed was not a task I was looking forward to. etrailer suggested these as an alternative. Literally plug and play. Just plug the transmitter into the motorhome, install batteries and attach the magnetic based lights to the trunk of the MKZ and presto! DONE! I hooked the car up behind the motorhome and ran it down the freeway at 60-65 mph and all was good. Worked straight out of the box! Fantastic product!

Wonderful product

Saturn Ion

These work well, bright. They do eat up regular Duracell batteries. After first use of these I switched to Lithium Ion. The lights were noticeably brighter in the daylight sun. The life of the batteries has drastically improved service. I have a habit of removing the batteries when not in use to enable greater duration; they do have an on/off switch built in, but it's so simple to remove them in case of phantom degradation. Over-all, I am very happy with these and installation on the car is a snap. Love them so far. Would buy/recommend to others.

by:

Great looking lights, LED wireless hook up makes this an easy installation and easy choice.

by:

Works great no problems easy to install

by:
2011 Ford Taurus

Was absolutely 100% delighted with this product. Drove a total of 2600 miles in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions and these lights worked perfectly. Batteries lasted all most to the end of the trip. I'd recommend this set up to everyone who cannot afford to have wiring redone on a vintage trailer.

by:

I bought the wireless Hopkins tow lights to temporarily tow my new Jeep behind our Motorhome until I could wire the taillights permanently. I liked them so well that I have never wired the Jeep and only use the wireless taillights.

by:

very easy to see and use. I hope I never have to rewire another old trailer. Love them.

by:

Great customer service

by:

Great experience.Fast service.

by:

These have been a lifesaver for our camper lights not working properly. Never had an issue with these

by:
2010 Honda Element

I have not tried this yet, but the design is excellent! Having a magnet on the transmitter to attach to the tow vehicle was just icing on the cake!

by:

Great system

by:

Product appears to work as represented. Have not had it on the road yet.

Lights work great, and battery life is better than expected. Only issue is potential for paint damage... I recommend that the manufacturer consider a softer landing pad to reduce potential for paint scratches.

  • How To Flat-Tow a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Using a Pickup Truck
I do have an option for you but I am not aware of any way to flat-tow a vehicle using a front mount trailer hitch as there would be no way for the wheels to track properly. The most cost effective option we have for you to attach the Cherokee to your pickup is with the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms part # C19745. If you don't have a steel bumper on your Jeep to attach this tow bar then you will need to remove the bumper and then attach this to the vehicle's core support. In...

  • Hopkins Wireless LED Brake Light Works on One Side Only
If you have installed new batteries into the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights # C6304, then you should not be experiencing both turn signals working but only one brake light working because the turn signals run along the same wire that the stop signal does. You can start off by checking your connectors to ensure that they are clean and free of debris. If that checks out then what I recommend doing is using an alternate 12V power source to test the magnetic tow lights. You can either use a different...

  • Troubleshooting Hopkins Wireless Magnetic Tow Lights C6304
Based on your troubleshooting efforts and the fact that this product did not operate properly on both of your vehicles I am inclined to think the unit has a defect. But you can easily test it, independent of the vehicles, to isolate the location of the issue. Use a 12V vehicle or spare battery to apply power directly to the wireless transmitter portion of the Hopkins Wireless Magnetic Tow Lights # C6304. Connect the battery ground to the pin for the white wire and then apply the battery...

  • Turn Signals are Dim with Brake Lights Applied on Magnetic Tow Lights
It doesn't sound like to me that there is anything wrong with the lights or wiring. The turn signal and brake light are both carried through the same dual filament bulb. The circuit associated with the brake light will generally be brighter than the circuit for the turn signal. I recommend switching to an LED option which will make the turn signals much brighter when the brakes are applied in comparison to a set of magnetic tow lights with an incandescent bulb. For this we have the MaxxTow...

  • Recommended Magnetic Towing Lights for Pickup Carrying Canoe and Towing Log Splitter
We have several styles of magnetic tow lights that you can consider for use on your pickup that carries and canoe and tows a log splitter. Most of these have a 20-foot 4-pole flat type trailer connector, such as # TL21RK (which I like for its strong heavy-duty magnets and low price). We also have a Hopkins wireless kit # C6304, available at a higher price point, which requires use of 8 AA batteries but which gives a range of up to 65-feet. We also have amber warning light products, also...

  • Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for a 2007 Honda Accord
I wish we had tow bar wiring that was plug and play for your 2007 Honda Accord, but the best option I can make for your vehicle that won't require any splicing would be a magnetic kit like the part # C6304, or your other option would be a diode kit that would require quite a bit of splicing like the part # 154-792-118158. Basically with this kit you would install an additional bulb in the current taillight housing of your vehicle which the tow bar wiring will control. • Why Won't Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights Work with Semi Truck Trailer Wiring
The issue is that semi trucks have the stop lights separate from the turn signals and standard trailer wiring like what the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights part # C6304 has these two circuits are on the same wire. So you'd have to wire in a signal converter like the Roadmaster # RM-732 so that the two circuits would be on same wire.
