Flat Towing Wiring/Lighting Options for 2004 Jeep Wrangler  

Question:

2004 Jeep Wrangler to flat tow behind Tiffin RV. The Jeep has a wiring plug for towing BEHIND the Jeep. Can we connect to that outlet and run wires forward to front bumper for RV flat tow? Or is that wiring generally setup to send a signal only, not receive from RV? Just looking for a short cut, rather than splicing into something that has already been spliced.

Unfortunately the 4-pole trailer wiring harness on the rear of your 2004 Jeep Wrangler cannot be used in "reverse" to allow it to function for flat-towing purposes. You will need to un-install that item and use a dedicated flat towing wiring harness or light kit.

These include simple magnetic light kits like # TL21RK, add-on bulb and socket kits like # RM-155 (incandescent) and # RM-152-LED (LED-type lights) and hard-wire diode kits like # RM-15267.
