Hopkins Wireless LED Brake Light Works on One Side Only
Question:
I have installed new batteries for each light. Both turn signals work but only one brake light. How can I fix this?

If you have installed new batteries into the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights # C6304, then you should not be experiencing both turn signals working but only one brake light working because the turn signals run along the same wire that the stop signal does.
You can start off by checking your connectors to ensure that they are clean and free of debris. If that checks out then what I recommend doing is using an alternate 12V power source to test the magnetic tow lights. You can either use a different vehicle or the battery from your tow vehicle. With everything turned on test the Green and Yellow wire pins on the 4-Way and see if it activates the light. If it does no problem the there is most likely a wiring issue on your tow vehicle.
You can verify this by using a Circuit Tester # PTW2992 and testing the different pin functions on your tow vehicle 4-Way. If there seems to be an issue with this then you will want to check the wiring on your tow vehicle for any places that have damaged, corroded, bent, or exposed wiring and replace it.
If you are still having trouble after that then let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
