This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.

Easy to install. Love the process of connecting the trailer and not having to remember to latch the coupler. Very smooth.
Outstanding quality, I love how this works. So much easier that the hitches I have operated in the past. I’m going to replace all hitch’s on all my trailers (5) with this style of hitch.

Great replacement for my old surge brake hook up. This thing is great! I love I can just drop the trailer down on the ball without havng to pull up on a lever. Crank it down and hear a click! She is good to go.
I have converted over to electric brakes on my boat trailer. The new coupler does away with the surge brake. A nice, clean finish to my project.
Great coupler! Magnitudes better than stock lever. Top holes aligned perfectly with old holes. Bottom hole had to be drilled. Shipping fast and efficient.

I really like this item . Phenomenal improvement over rusty old standard coupler. Really like the ability to couple in the locked position. My old coupler was often a bear to lock.
Very good communication and got it a day early.
It’s a little picky to latch and unlatch. You have to get all the weight off the tongue for it to unlatch.

It is very uncommon for rust to occur that quickly, What probably happened is, the paint did not adhere appropriately to the coupler you have received. Like anything metal, if kept outside in the elements it will always be more susceptible to rust, but should definitely last longer than a month. We do typically recommend zinc plated coupler options in marine applications, as the plating is more prone to continuously being used in marine atmospheres. However, the painted options do have a 500 hour salt spray rating, so they should also be able to withstand these elements just fine as well. An option that we offer for the zinc plated couplers is part # DM13689-95. I have sent over your information to our customer service team to better assist you.
