Trailer Hitch Lock for 2006 Toyota 4Runner with 2-9/16 Inch Outside Receiver Width

Question:

I have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner. It has a 2inch class four hitch rated at 7,000 lbs. The outside measurement of the receiver tube is exactly 2-9/16inch which is the exact length of the inside width of the e98892 lock. Will I be able to use this and have it lock properly? Thank you for your reply.

Considering that the inside span of hitch lock # e98892 is exactly the same (2-9/16") as the width of the outside of the hitch receiver on your 2006 Toyota 4Runner I recommend looking at a different lock with a slightly wider span.

For that I recommend Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock - Flush Design for 2" Trailer Hitches Item # e98880. It has a span of 2-5/8 inches which will provide 1/16 inch of clearance! I have linked a video review of this lock for you.
