  That shouldn't be possible. The key of the SportRack Horizon Rooftop Cargo Box # SR7011 is designed to only be able to be removed when the box is closed and locked. This prevents you from being able to accidentally lock the keys in the box. Most likely the box is unlocked or the key is located elsewhere in the shipping materials.
