Will Lippert SolidSteps Work for You?
Fold-down steps are typically installed on travel trailers and some RVs. The fold-down steps from Lippert lift up to latch into your camper's doorway for storage. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Lippert SolidSteps install inside your camper's doorframe. Measuring for this may seem tricky, but once you know what to look for, figuring out the right fit for your RV doorway is easy.
Measure between the door frame flanges - the doorway width - to determine the step size that will fit into your camper's doorway. You will need a doorway that is at least 25" wide to 28-7/8" wide for these steps to work.
If it turns out you have a wider or narrower doorway, there are other step assemblies that fit doorways ranging from 24" wide to 36" wide. A full list of the available steps is below.
To make sure your doors will close when the steps are installed, measure from the top of the threshold plate to the bottom of the door. You will need a gap of about 1/4" to 3/8" to allow the door to close over the step's mounting plate.
The doorway threshold will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To decide on how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, and it will tell you how many steps you need.
Once you know your doorway width and entry heigh measurements, the chart below will tell you which part number you need. This page's step assembly is in bold text.

Adjustable legs keep the steps level on uneven ground.Ordered a set of these steps they arrived damaged, contacted etrailer they sent another set, they arrived damaged. etrailer wanted me to basically repair steps and source hardware for little compensation. I will never do business with etrailer again. 2 weeks of my time was wasted and now I have to purchase steps elsewhere.
There are a few upgrades I have made to my camper that I sit back and think "why did I wait so long to do this?" This would be one of them. The stability and comfort of walking up these steps is incomparable to the factory steps. The ease of installation made this a no brainer. Why did I wait so long to replace the factory steps?
Great just needs little bit better insulation love them and my wife really loves them so that’s what MATTERS
The 5 step version is not as wide as the 4 step version. Mounting was the same.
I ordered LC791574 Had a bent frame on left leg.probably shipping and bent bracket for storage.

Awesome
Perfect replacement for my old tri-fold steps. Really like the adjustable bottom feet for uneven terrain. I did have to trim the aluminum lip flush on my existing threshold which stuck up 1/8” for the new ladder mounting bracket to lie flat but it was easy to do with my grinder. Very happy with these new steps which are easy to fold up and deploy.

Steps have worked perfectly with no issues.
The packages came on the date anticapated and in good condition. Although both packages had been opened and poorly retaped shut. The installation instruction were clear and well written. Installation was easy. I did need to make minor alterations to the exiting threshold to make it fit. The steps are solid, work on a variety of grades and makes it much safer to get in and out of our 5th wheel.
Packaging was damaged and and foot on extension leg was bent. Was missing the 4 inch mounting bolts. Other than that everything was ok

Easy to install.
Installed in my 2009 Heartland Landmark. Easy peezy to install. Only complaint is the box was so tore up in shipping that none of the bag of hardware was included so had to run to Lowe's for the 8 #10 1.5" screws (bought stainless steel to prevent rust). Also.....the threshold of the stairs stuck up too high for the door to shut so I had to do some sledge hammer adjusting (put a towel over the threshold while pounding as not to scratch the pretty flat black paint)
Installed easily. Replaces a three step original equipment with a four step configuration. Easier climb.
These steps are a big Improvement to our toy hauler easy to install less than 10 minutes all you need is a battery-powered drill and a 7/16 wrench these was installed in a 2019 momentum toy hauler in the garage highly recommended steps for any 5th wheel
My wife and I installed these on our fifth wheel camper. We are extremely pleased in how sturdy they are and how much easier it is to walk up and down the larger treads. I am 6 ft 3 and 280 lb and these things are Rock Solid! Our furry four-legged family member also finds them much easier to climb. I will always have a set like these on any camper I own. Excellent!
We love the steps. We feel more confident going up and down the steps than we did the ones that came on our RV. Neither my husband nor I don't need to fall at our age. We just feel a lot safer.

Great
Easy install and quality built... Had a bit of a delay due to backorder from Lippert but was given outstanding service by Emily W at E-Trailer via monitoring the order and keeping me updated.
I purchased these steps to allow my wife who has had both hips replaced an easier time getting in and out of our RV. I modified the steps to create a 5 inch rise on each step. It has worked out great for her. (and me too). It would be great of you could offer a product that already had 5 inch rise steps. There are a lot of folks like us that would like them
Really wish the legs were easier to adjust. The pins are not easy to pull out of the holes at all. It does block the whole doorway when closed up, but the stability when using the stairs is quite nice
Not only is the product quality but the costumer service was top notch. I was not only given all the instruction on which step would be best for my trailer but also ensured satisfaction with a return policy to get it correct if it didn’t fit like expected. Great experience and would recommend it to everyone.

As I said in the original review, why did I wait so long to replace the factory steps? They are still great. Virtually no sign of wear. I now have some friends that have bought them. They love them also. This has been great upgrade to my camper.
