Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to replace, the foot pad for your Lippert solid steps. This is gonna be a very simple installation process that works for all models of the solid step. So if your foot pad is broken, worn down, or you're just looking to replace it, then you can watch this video. Let's check it out.

We're gonna start by just folding down our steps, even if just partially to get some better access or to give the camera a better view of this bolt and nut right here. You can detach that using either an 11 millimeter or a 7/16ths inch wrench. Your new foot pad isn't gonna come with new hardware so if you've got your old hardware, hang onto it 'cause you will be reusing it. Otherwise, you'll need to pick up some new ones. With the new one, we can just slide that in place, re-secure it with that same hardware that we're reusing, and tighten it down.

Now you don't want it so tight that it can't move because that foot does need to pivot to meet the ground where it's at. And once that's done, the insulation is complete. We can get this lowered down and see that it's giving us a nice, solid base. It's got that same textured finish that the old one did, so it's gonna help provide grip on slippery surfaces and it should help hold up pretty well over time.
