Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with "etrailer.com." Today, we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products, BBQ Adapter Hose. This is going to allow you to hook up your barbecue grill to a 20 or 30 pound Propane Cylinder. When you're looking for a propane hose, you want to make sure that you are getting the one that's going to work with your setup. So the first thing that you want to pay attention to is the length. This is a 4ft Long Hose.

So as long as your grill and your Propane Cylinder are no more than four feet away from each other, you should be okay there. This is a rubber hose. So it's going to be very flexible, durable. You're not going to have to worry about any kinks or cracking, anything like that. It's going to be very resistant to those.The tube has an inner diameter of a quarter of an inch, which is going to be plenty of room for that gas to flow through there.

So you can power up your grill. And the next thing you want to focus in on are your fittings. So here we've got a POL connection. This is what's going to connect into your cylinder. It's going to thread on the inside of your propane tank valve.

So most valves have inner threading and outer threading. This is going to thread into the inside. You will thread on counter-clockwise, which might be a little counterintuitive to those of us who know the "righty-tighty lefty-loosey" method. But there are diagrams on the little hand wheel here to help you with that. You can see it's got a ring on the tip of it that is going to help create a tight seal with our cylinders.

So we're not going to have to worry about gas leaks or anything like that. And our hand wheel is going to be very convenient for making those connections and disconnecting it from our cylinder.So this is pretty standard. Almost all your gas cylinders are going to have those inner threads for your POL connection. Our other connection here is a 1-Inch 20 male connection, or it's sometimes called a number 600 or a Throwaway Fitting or a Disposable Cylinder Port. It got the threads there that's going to connect to the female. We've got another cord here. So this is what the connection will look like, it's got that internal component there. Those fit together just like that and thread on. So if you've got this already, you'll need that kind of port. Just make sure that you're getting the right hose that you need. This hose is CSA approved. So it's going to hold up to those quality standards.
