Today we're going to take a look at the Buyers Products Combination Pintle Hook with 50 millimeter diameter ball for 2" hitches and a 12,000 pounds gross towing weight capacity.Now, this is a pintle hook and hitch ball combo that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here will slide into your vehicle's hitch receiver opening, and the pintle hook connects to a lunette ring coupler, or you can open the pintle hook just like that and you can use just the hitch ball to connect to a standard ball coupler. It does offer an interchangeable hitch ball, so in other words, this can be swapped out to accommodate different size couplers. They do offer a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball, and a 2-5/16" ball. You can see if I flip it over, all I have to do is unloosen that and the ball will come out.Now, this is a forged steel construction.

It's strong and durable. Has a nice black powder-coat finish and chrome plating on the hitch ball to help resist rust and corrosion. If you notice, the safety pin on here is included for when you use the pintle hook, so if you're going to hook a lunette ring up on there, all you have to do is push that down. It'll lock right into place. And then for extra security, you just slide the snapper pin through.

Snap it, and it'll hold it there. And again, to remove the lunette ring, all you have to do is open the snapper pin, lift up on the T-handle, and then move it back, and once you get so far, it'll hook and lock . latch into place.Now, to install this, the hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock, we do sell separately. It is a 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole, and again, the hitch pin and clip or the hitch locks are sold separately, listed on this product page on our website.This part is made in the U.S.A. Again, the application, it's designed to fit 2" by 2" trailer hitch receiver openings.

The ball size diameter on this is 50 millimeters. The ball shank diameter is 1-1/8". And again, it's designed to fit lunette ring couplers that have an inside diameter of 2-1/2" to 3". Maximum gross towing weight capacity is 12,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight capacity is 2,400 pounds.And again, just to show you, if you're going to tow a coupler, just drop your coupler on the hitch ball and you're ready to go.

If you're going to put a lunette ring in there, all you have to do is push down on that. It'll lock into place. Take your pin and clip, slide it through the hole and clip it, and then you're locked in all ready to go.
