Hey, everybody. Welcome to "etrailer.com" I'm Bobby. Today we're taking a look at the "Gen-Y Manual Latch Gooseneck Coupler Lock" here at "etrailer.com". Let's go ahead, start getting into it. So our coupler lock here is gonna be a pretty hefty piece of machinery as you guys can see. Basically, all that's gonna be happening, you guys can see this well, in this lid here, or this top plate, that's basically inserting right here in your coupler just like so.

And I will say, once you kinda get in position, it hangs right there. And that's really nice, cause it just simply goes on there. This is gonna prevent people from actually attacking here. Getting inside here, you see there's no space to work with. But how do we secure it, right Well, we actually have a hitch lock pin here from "InfiniteRule" that comes with it.

Basically, what we need to do, move our way down to the inside here. Do you guys wanna come to front, might be little easier to see. So we actually have our alignment right here. And all we have to do is simply walk this up, guys, and actually insert my pen. To do that, we are gonna need to walk out our walking core here.

To do that, we just take our included key, and go lefty loosey, and start on threading our hitch lock here. That's gonna allow us to take this guy. I'm gonna simply just put it right here in the front, and go ahead and show us what exactly we're looking for. So yeah, we just insert it there, walk it forward. And now, you just start threading this back on, righty tighty action just like that.

Now once you reach the very end of here, not going to be able to remove it right away. Just need to back off this pen just a little bit. You guys can see where it lines there, and there we are nice and secured already. This does a great job. As you guys can see, it has a little bit of movement here. It can actually kind of bind itself if somebody is moving too much as you guys can see. But yeah, nobody's actually gonna be able move with this, which is great. And it's going to have a really really great hold there, under coupler. Nobody's going to be able to access this unless they can actually get this pin out. Now, the hitch lock that's actually in here by "InfiniteRule". I really like these, guys. I've started using them a little bit more often recently here at the shop, which is great. They work really well. "InfiniteRule" has a lot of custom designs out there too. And just all the locks seem to be really high quality to me. This is going to make it to where, nobody can actually access this latch, and actually get it undone, which is great. I really like the dust cap on there, too, to prevent those internal mechanisms. And I like that it's tethered. And it's also, like, really high quality, sometimes the rubber they throw on these things, really sucks. And that's nice to see that that's actually going to be lasting us for a while, making sure nobody can mess with that. So the outer house on this guy is also made of a sturdy steel construction. It has a nice zinc base on it to go ahead and coat it, make sure it's a little resistant, and a powder coat to finish it off. That's going to make sure that it is going to be resistant over the years to come, which is great. Of course, you got a lot of mechanisms up here. We're already seeing a little bit of rust on our coupler up here, actually. So we don't want that spreading. And that corrosion is definitely going to be fought against, by that powder coat. Now, with any powder coat, it's going to be up to us to treat it nicely. If you start really kind of running in this thing for some reason, nicking it up, it might start kind of wearing and tearing. However, it's going to do a great job of holding up, for the years to come. Overall, I think it's going to do a great job preventing anybody from actually hooking up to a trailer, and taking it away. I like that it's a sturdy steel construction with that nice powder coat. Going to be resisting the weather for a while, and it's made in the USA, which is always a nice little touch to it. Overall, guys, I think it's going to be a great little system to go ahead and give us that nice security measure.
