Fit nice. I haven't used it to move a trailer yet. I didn't have tow hooks and the factory ones are high so I paid the extra to get the hitch instead.

Perfect hitch for those needing a rack for extra space. I used a heavy duty vinyl bag to enclose my tools, cords and generator on my 12k mile trip to alaska. The held that 500lbs extremely well across the permafrost damaged Alaskan highway! No twists, no bends and no worries!

The product itself is great. One star deducted because 1) the wrong installation manual was provided. Credit to etrailer because once I notified them, they sent me the correct one within 24 hours. 2) A tremendously oversized box was used for shipping. Consequently , the item which is heavy as you would expect shifted during shipping and caused a huge hole in the box. Fortunately, the bolts were bagged and taped well to the item but this does give a slight passibility that the bolts could be lost in shipping.

Super simple installation, not easy, but simple. Definitely need two people, one under the truck and one standing, total install incl. removing OEM tow hooks, about two hours.

Fairly easy to install and is solid! Has been great being able to carry 2 of our 4 Lectric bikes on the front while having the Fifth-Wheel!
Although, I have seen a lot of reviews stating poor packaging and this is the case here too! Almost lost hardware as box was not strong enough to hold the heavy items... etrailer, you guys are amazing and have been the only place to go for any trailer needs.... You need to fix this poor packaging issue.

Great hitch and perfect fit. Attaching the inboard bolts is tricky. You’ll need an articulating ratchet with low profile socket or wrench to hold the nut while you unthread/thread and torque. Other than that, it’s very straight forward. A second set of hands is a big help too. Highly recommended!

It’s been a year and the hitch still functions and looks as if it were new. Great product for any accessory needs. Does not work well on my vehicle with a bike rack. The bikes sit far too high and block the drivers view. That isn’t necessarily the fault of the hitch. Highly recommend!

I first contacted etrailer and received great customer service. They answered all my questions and gave me a few suggestions base on my needs. I ordered two items from etrailer, Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver (306-X7900) and Winch Mounting Plate (6495). Upon arrival one item was missing and once again contacted etrailer and got it resolved. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. My missing item arrived within a few days.
The hitch received is great. The welds are fantastic and it looks even better on. I ended up spray-painting the bolts before installing to blend in with hooks/truck. Made it easier just to do a small touch up and not worry about the over spray.

I was looking for a receiver bar that I could mount along with a brush guard. I did not want or need the full bumper replacement with the receiver built in. This was the only hitch receiver I could locate that would be compatible with a brush guard. The challenge was locating a brush guard that had the uprights on the outside of the tow hooks. I found the Steel Craft brush guard worked great with this item to provide the solution I wanted.

Ive found that this front hitch has worked out outstanding. I have a large barge that I needed to get intothe lake with several hair pin turns. This hitch allowed me you drive the boat trailer to the lanch point. Giving me greater control for a tight area. Anouther plus is that I was able to to my my 10,000 lbs winch from the front to the back. Having this flexability is great. Highly recommend this product.

2018 Dodge Ram Pickup
Seamless install in my ram 3500. Came well packaged and secured. The truck bolts were a little bit harder to get to but the instructions were very helpful and thorough, which is a truck issue not a product issue. Looking forward to using for a generator rack for our truck camper.

2014 Dodge Ram Pickup
My truck (a 2014 ram 3500) was buried in mud, sitting on the frame. I used this hitch as a lift point to jack the truck up and get rocks under the tires. The hitch held up great to the weight in the truck and I was able to get the truck out with minimal effort. I have a 2012 stuck in the mud as well and so I will see how well it holds up to a winch. Definitely using this beyond its design limits but it’s proving worth the money.

Product is very heavy duty, bolted right into place, no issues. Remember to reroute your block heater plug if it ends up behind the tube before mounting the hitch.

After a year now I rarely use it. The few times that I have it has been helpful because I can see better around the hazards I am pushing the trailer into. Always used in heavy timber or brushy off road settings.

You mentioned that you replaced the fasteners with better fasteners and I wanted to see if you could explain in more detail what you meant. The hitch manufacturer prefers to only have the hardware that comes with the hitch to be used.
