Today we'll be reviewing part number RP30035. This is the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. It is going to be a 10 bolt design. The base rails are going to provide necessary attachment points for your 5th wheel trailer hitch. The universal brackets are designed so that they fit most applications, and then the adapter brackets can be used to ease installation on certain vehicles. The kit's going to include both rails, four brackets, two larger ones with more mounting options, and then the two smaller ones, and it's going to include all the hardware that you need, all the instructions, and the fish wire that you just thread onto the end of the bolt, and you can bring it through the appropriate hole as needed. It makes it a little bit easier to get the bolts in the right place. Some compatible hitches are going to be Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky.
This does work with RBW Li'l Rocker Hitch Fifth Wheel Hitch. It will not fit the Reese Elite Series Signature Series or Valley UBS hitches. It's made from a nice solid steel construction with a nice black powder coated finish on it, so it is going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. Needed a hitch for new fifthwheel and also have short bed truck so also needed a way to make harder turns mostly when backing up not on the road. Has worked well with the exception of the slide option it has never worked with weight on it. I’ve had to use camper jacks to raise and remove weight just to activate and slide every time. Takes a lot of time. Think release bar should be built stronger. And with that exception works great

The Reese assembly instructions were clear and assembly was pretty straight forward until I went to mount the center section on top of the slide rails. The uprights for the slide rails had a large metal bur from the manufacturing process that hindered the U channels on the center section from going down. I also discovered that the center section U channels were bent in and the holes on one side were drilled crooked. I contacted ETrailer.com customer service and they quickly sent me a new center section and return shipping tag for the defective part. The replacement part arrived quickly and assembly was much easier with the new parts. Reese manufacturing quality is average at best but the ETrailer.com customer service is Excellent. Thank you ETrailer.com for helping resolve my issue timely and without hassle!

This is my first 5th wheel hitch. It was purchased to pull my 31ft. Heartland Sundance with my 2017 Ford F250. When delivered it was in several heavy boxes but assembly was very easy with simple hand tools. The videos of the assembly and placement of the hitch were very helpful. Pros easy installation into truck bed, easy to use, heavy duty and well built. Cons I haven't found any!

Nice hitch, went togeather fairly easy. Etrailer was very fast on shipping. Only towed about 30 miles with no problems. On the down side when I removed the hitch for winter only the head removes from the hitch assembly. The sliders and the cross members (one piece unless you unbolt them) are very heavy to remove from the truck bed.

This product is extremely well built and fits the truck perfectly. The custom mounts require no drilling and are very stout. I pulled my 16K lb. toyhauler 300 miles this weekend and the hitch worked flawless. I highly recommend this product and etrailer delivered the hitch within 4 days.

I always enjoy using etrailer. Price was a lot lower than I could find locally. Hitch arrived on time. I needed some support for part of the install and they were top notch. Hitch worked as intended and install was smooth. Hitch was used for a 3+ hour trip and it worked great.

Hitch arrived in less than time estimated. It was not too difficult to assemble, has good instructions. It is somewhat heavier than the one replaced but old one was only 15,000 lbs. Works as advertised and is much easier to slide than old one even when new. good product.
