GMC Acadia

I ordered this when none of the lights would work on all three trailers I owned. After replacing the fuse and checking everything else it came down to this. It was a perfect fit and super easy to install. The wiring harness for my acadia is a plug and play so no splicing or sodering. I would highly recommend this product.

2018 Dodge Ram Pickup

The 7-Way RV Style Trailer Connector for Factory Tow Package shipped quickly and fit perfectly in my RAM 2500 diesel bed. It was difficult to install only because the hole in the bed wall was rather tight so I had a difficult time pulling the cable into the bed to plug the replacement part in (no fault of the part). The Etrailer-provided part seems to be made of a much better/durable plastic than the one that needed replaced. The part that it replaced was cracked/broken in 2 places around the border including at one of the mount screws due to hard/brittle plastic. All the electrical connections work perfectly. Only improvement I would recommend is send replacement screws with the part--Luckily the screws were still in place, even at the one mounting hole that was broken. I was unable to find the correct replacement part at several other online sites. The brief instructional video on ETrailer.com was also very helpful.

Drop in replacement on my Ford F-150 for my damaged 7-way (also purchased from etrailer). The 15 minute installation was a breeze. Great support from this company as well! Thanks.

This worked awesome, I purchased the three way truck bed harness for my gooseneck and replaced the rear main
7 way at the same time.
E trailer shipped it quickly and there website pictures and instructions where great for the installation.

by:

Fits if you want a gap in the factory bumper. Does not fit like factory connector.

I was so dissatisfied with customer service I kept the plug, and will not order from Etrailer again.

by:
Volkswagen

It fit in my 2019 Volkswagen Atlas. I have yet to hook up to a trailer, but being an exact fit I do not expect an issue.

Doing great

I received the wrong part based on your recommendation. Here’s my exchange with your customer service rep :
Good Morning,

Thank you for clarifying.

Based on the item you want to return from your order, the return cost is greater than the part. Therefore, it would not be cost effective to return these items. I recommend selling locally to make your money back.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Thank you,

Tiffany H.

Well, Tiffany, this is a good lesson for me. I buy a part from your company solely based on the recommendation of your representative. It arrives and it’s the wrong part. And I have no recourse. Not even an offer for a credit nor an offer to send the correct part. A complete waste of my time and money. Didn’t even receive an apology. Caveat emptor. Well, the lesson is learned. I will never do business with etrailer again. I will never recommend etrailer to my friends. And I will take every opportunity to disparage your company.

Chevrolet Colorado

Just exactly what I needed. It works fine and fits my Colorado wiring harness.

by:

I had to put in my information on my truck and the plug I received was not the factory one. Had to drill holes instead of just the twist out plug that comes in a Silverado

Thank you for sharing. I researched 7 way connectors for a 2004 Chevy and found that part # PK11916 is a better option for a twist in plug replacement. It will fit with 2007 - 2013 ChevroletGMC 1500 trucks and 2007 - 2014 ChevroletGMC 25003500 trucks.

by:
2013 Audi Q7

Harness fit perfectly. Shipping fast. Very happy.

by:

I have to say that I've used Etrailer for all my trailer needs and have been so overwhelmed at the price and the product .. I'll never shop any other place .. why .. no one has ever come close to the savings I found here .. I bought my heavy hitch from here and couldn't be happier and this item was the perfect match to what I needed .. Thanks Etrailer !

by:

Just the right configuration I needed. Works for all the vehicles that I tow. Good construction.

by:
2005 Chevrolet Suburban

Works fine. However I had to drill holes for screws to hold the connector in place. The original was just twisted in place.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado

Wiring portion is direct fit to 14 Silverado. Since i replaced factory plug had to drill new holes and filled original hole with cut to fit scrap plastic.

by:

Fit perfectly into place on my fifth wheel 7-way extension into the bed of my truck. The previous bracket broke and the trailer brakes quit making contact. This was the same as the broken one, and fit up perfectly and all contacts are working. I gave it a rating of four because the previous one (which was the same) broke after about 3 years of use.

by:

Product worked well and we actually mounted not in the provided location in hitch but we but the housing wheeler you can mount it on the top of the hitch. This product has been working well for us and recommend to all. It worked well in our 2915 Pathfinder

by:

Wow great job to all, what service and the hitch, the plug for the lights, and the license plate holder, is all you said, and it took less than 15 min to install everything. What your company is doing right now, document , train and continue to do it, you have made this customer very happy and we will do business again! Sorry no pics because its hiding behind the roll pan just like you said it would!

Thanks

This Mighty Cord 7-way connector was an exact replacement. I received the part very quick and installation was easy and took all of 3 minutes...just plug and play.

by:
2015 Chevrolet Silverado

Perfect match plug and play for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Duramax. 10 minute install. It would have been 5 stars if it were more of a snug fit into your receptacle. I would recommend.

by:

Good product but mine broke in the winter. Cover broke off just before leaving in a trip so had to get one shipped fast. Cover hold male plug in. Wish they could make one that would stand up in cold temps

  • Installing 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2017 Jeep Cherokee
I'm assuming that your 2017 Jeep Cherokee isn't equipped with the factory tow package. To install a 7-way trailer connector, the route you'd choose will depend on your desired outcome. As a starting point, you'll need the functional 4-pole trailer connector provided by part # 118605. If your trailer does not have brakes, and you don't need the 12-v feed to the trailer to be functional, you can just use the # 37185 4-pole to 7-way adapter. You'll plug the adapter into the 4-pole provided...

You'll need to free the connector from the frame member and uncoil it so it will reach the rear bumper. The truck is indeed pre-wired for a brake controller. To complete the installation, you'll need brake controller and the vehicle-specific wiring harness. I'd highly recommend the Tekonsh P3, part # 90195. The P3...

  • Troubleshooting 7-way Installation That Blows 12V Power Fuse Without Trailer Connected
The most likely cause for your Sienna to blow the fuse on your +12V auxiliary trailer power feed is a short somewhere in that circuit. The short could be caused by a wire that rubs on the frame and that has damage to its insulation or even by corrosion inside the 7-way trailer socket. If the wiring is new then it is more likely to be a short from a pinched wire but if the wiring has been in place on the Sienna for some years then it may be a corrosion issue. The 1 o'clock pin position in that connector should show power when using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. If it is not hot in that position, then make sure you turn your key to ACC and try again.
