Troubleshooting No Running Light Signal on Factory 7-Way on 2013 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
2013 Dodge 2500, Using a test light I have no power to the 7 pin plug for my trailer running lights. I do show power to turn signals and brake lights. Checked fuse F 29 and seems to be ok. Any suggestions what else to check ? Thanks.

If the 7-way trailer socket pin for running lights on your Dodge 2500, the one at the 11:00 position as you look at the socket, has no signal and you have already checked the related vehicle fuse 29 (a 20-amp yellow) for that function then I suggest you test the wiring leading to it to find the point where the signal is lost.
Apply your tester, one like # PTW2993, to the wiring that leads to the connector and move forward until you find the point where the running light signal is present. This will tell you where you focus your wiring inspection to find a problem like worn insulation or a wire rubbing on the vehicle frame.
You can also check the socket for signs of corrosion, a bent contact pin or trapped dirt or water that could interfere with the signal.
If you find that the socket itself is the issue you can replace it with # A10-7072VP.
