Trailer Connector Recommendation and Install on 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I want to add a trailer connector to my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has the factory tow package with the round connector behind the bumper. What would I need parts-wise?

Since your Grand Cherokee has the US car connector under and behind the rear bumper (see photo), you'll just need part # C55774 which installs as shown in the video I've linked. This connector provides both the 4-pole and the 7-way trailer connector. According to Curt, in some instances the vehicle's computer will need to be flashed at the dealership in order to fully activate the tow package.
If your trailer has electric brakes and you want them to actuate you'll need a brake controller as well. The Brake EVN, part # TK63VR would be an excellent choice. The controller is simple to use, and easy to install using the available # TK93VR wiring harness. The controller features a digital display so you can see the settings and diagnostics very easily. The controller also self-levels and features 3 different boost settings you can set for when you tow different weight trailers.
I've linked to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
