Replacement 7-Way Options for a 2002 Ford F-150
Question:
Hello, I have a 2002 F150 King Ranch supercrew 2wd. I am not original owner so I don’t know what was factory original and what was added before I got it. I have a 4way and 7way plugs. The 7way doesn’t work, the wiring harness is damaged. Item number 118242 looks very close, but it says it’s only for factory 4way and adds the 7way. Is there another harness if I already have a 7way? Thanks.

You may want to start off by seeing if your 7-Way is connected to a US car connector. If that is the case then I recommend removing your 7-Way and, using a Circuit Tester like part # PTW2992, testing the pins on the car connector. If those pins are sending signals then you may just need to replace your actual 7-Way connector with part # A10-7072VP.
If the US car connector is not getting signals then you can check out the attached installation video of the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118242 that you referenced to see if you have the connectors near the driver side rear tire. If you do have that connection point then you can use that part as a replacement.
If neither solution will work then if you send me some pictures of your connectors and how they are installed I can see what other options we have for your 202 Ford F-150.
