Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Maxx Tow two-tang clevis for two-inch trailer hitches. This hitch mounted two-tang clevis is great for industrial and agricultural applications. It uses a one-inch diameter clevis pin for simple hookup. The clevis pin is not included, so that does need to be provided on your own. The platform with the hole can also be used as a ball mount for standard towing. It's ball, not included, we do offer those separately at etraler.com, so you can check out our website for some options there. Now, this product is made from a nice sturdy steel construction.
It also features a corrosion resistant black powder coat finish, which protects it from the elements making sure that it doesn't rust and get ruined over time. Your hitch pin and clip to secure it inside the receiver tip of your hitch, that's not included either. The pin holes on this unit will accept a standard five-eighth inch diameter hitch pin, or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately and available at etrailer.com.It slides into a two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receiver. When it comes to the gross towing weight capacity, that's 5,000 pounds.
Maximum tongue weight capacity is 500 pounds. All that information is engraved right here on the unit. Now, again, the diameter of the pin hole, right here, for a clevis pin or for a hitch ball shank, it's one-inch diameter hole. It's draw bar, or platform, it's this area here, measures three-quarters of an inch thick. The opening between the tangs is just over two inches, about two and one-sixteenth of an inch.
It's the space, right here. That also took a measurement from the shank of the unit, so this portion right here, to the back edge of the pin hole. That's the amount of space we have right here. And that gives us a measurement of two and a half inches. From the shank to the center of the pin hole is three inches. I also took a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the clevis pin holes.
That measurement, right there, is 11 inches. And the overall length from very back to very front is 14 and a half inches long. That's going to do it for today's look at the Maxx Tow two-tang clevis for two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receivers.

Hitch-mounted, 2-tang clevis is perfect for industrial and agricultural applications. Uses a 1" diameter pin (sold separately). Can also be used as a ball mount for standard towing. Black powder coated steel resists rust. This is an excellent product. I bought it for towing a Land Pride 706NT.
However...the depth is about 1/4-1/2 too shallow for this specific implement so the holes don't quite line up. No fault of the hitch. I will keep it for other things here on the farm.
On the heavy duty side but just what I needed. Thank you etrailer.
