Video Transcript for Review of Durabilt Chain Tie Downs - 16 Foot Transport Chain With Grab Hooks - DU77MR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Durabilt 16 foot long transport chain with grab hooks. And with this 16 foot long chain, you're gonna be able to secure heavy loads to your trailer. This chain is ideal for load binding, tie-downs, towing, and logging. And it will easily and securely connect to anchor points with these hooks on either end.

The clevis ends let you relocate the hooks to shorten the chain without permanently altering it. So, it's gonna be as simple as removing this clip from the pin and then remove the pin. And then you can adjust this grab hook to wherever, whatever link on the chain that is going to work best for you. So, you're not going to permanently alter this chain. So, that's a nice feature that this particular chain offers.

Now, this chain is constructed of durable, corrosion resistant, zinc plated, grade 70, heat-treated carbon steel, making it ideal for stabilizing heavy loads. This is manufactured to NACM, CCMTA, and the Department of Transportation requirements. And the safe working load limit is 6,600 pounds. And the length thickness is 3/8 of an inch. And again, this chain is 16 feet long.

Now, this chain is not intended for overhead lifting. And tie-down chains must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the chains being used. For example, if you are using chains with a working load limit of 4,000 pounds each to tie down a load weighing 8,000 pounds, then you need at least two chains to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use chains in pairs.

Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
