The bars are fine but the latches are very difficult to remove now after one month. They are not dirty, it just seems like a poor design. Called customer service and was told they can't be returned because they've been installed, and to call Rhino Rack which I have also done. Maybe they will help, but what I can say is that etrailer doesn't stand behind their products at all which quite honestly surprised me. This might not be a big issue to someone who doesn't remove the bars frequently but if you do, you will not be pleased.
Lowest price I could find. Recieved it faster than expected and everything fit. Would recommend. Installed on a 2018 Ram 2500 with Retrax Pro XR (T-80232) bed cover.

It has been over a year since I purchased my Rhino Rack Vortex Cross Bars and I am still 100 satisfied with how they look and work.
I bought this for my 2017 F-250. I had a roll top installed with the T grooves so I can run these crossbars. It worked out great for my trip to Colorado. I installed a rack for additional storage thats not hanging off the back of the truck. Would highly recommend.
Excellent racking system for my Tundra with RetraxPro XR retractable tonneau cover. Don’t forget the spacers! Perfect fit, no modifications necessary, high quality and straightforward to install.
Put these over the bed of my 2023 Tundra TRD pro because I have a Retrax XR rolltop bed cover that I wanted to continue to use. The T slots in the bedcover were perfect for these racks. The racks were a bit cumbersome to install but are sturdy. Once the legs were installed, removing the racks is and putting them back on is simple. Has a low, sleek look. I am happy with this purchase.
These seem to be exactly as advertised and well made. I combined this with a Pioneer Platform and some other accessories and it held up well to a long road trip with various items being carried. Two items of note - I did not receive the "key" that is supposed to be provided to lock the end caps on (on the cross bars, it's just a plastic key), so my end caps are only being held in with friction at the moment. Second, the Vortex Rubber Strips that go on top of the cross bars are not at all what I expected - they are short strips, that even if all of them are installed (plus the plastic strips with measuring dimensions, which I could not get in) they would not be long enough and there would be gaps - one would thing a single long strip the entire length of the cross bar would be provided. Right now I have three rubber strips on each bar (one on each end and one in the middle) with significant gaps between. I have a Pioneer Platform installed on top at the moment so this is harder to notice, but this is a design flaw - there should be enough rubber strips to fit the entire width - and really, it should be one piece. 4 stars for the issues listed, otherwise this would be a 5 star product.
I have no issue with the product itself. My issue is that the product is advertised as compatible with my Retrax bed cover and it isn’t fully compatible. The crossbars are approximately a half inch or so too low and my cover latch hits them when sliding my cover open or closed.

Yes, see attached pictures of the Retrax latch hitting the cross bars. The cross bars look to be 14 to 38 too low for the Retrax latch to slide under them. Disappointing since I bought the Rhino racks because they were supposed to be compatible with my Retrax One XR cover and Im not sure Id consider this completely compatible.

I did hear back from Rhino Rack who advised that you can use leg spacers part # RRQMVA15 that will add 05 inches of space for you.
Installed on Retrax XR cover without a hitch. Etrailer shipping was super fast and their tracking info is the best I've seen.
Ordered this product and received it within 1-day! I've really been impressed with the etrailer service and experience so far. Just installed these crossbars today and will report back if something goes wrong. If anything, they were easy to install and look great!
Just received these Rhino Rack cross bars today and installed them on the t-tracks on a RetraxPro XR tonneau on a 2020 F-250. The cross-rail system seems to be well designed and built. Rugged but not too heavy. The way the track leg body connects to the track leg base makes it easy to assemble and easy to attach or remove the crossbars, once they are set-up. Directions were good and the parts for the bases were well packaged. The crossbars themselves were shipped without any additional box or wrapping (i.e. just in the retail box) and both ends of the boxes had come open in shipment, so the vertex bars were falling out. One of the bars was a little scratched up, but not badly, and luckily the additional loose parts are packaged inside the vertex bars. So no issues there. The system seems quite nice, looks good, and I can't wait to try both the bike carriers and the kayak carries I purchased to use with these bars. I will update the review once I've used them some.

Ive continued to be pleased with this rack. In addition to bikes and kayaks, Ive also transported large storage cabinets on top of them, from Houston to Colorado, twice. The rack handled the load well. They are relatively easy to put on and take off. Overall positive experience.
Arrived on time, perfectly packed and with all necessary hardware. Easy intuitive install. Looks and works great on 2017 RAM 1500 with a Retrax XR.
It fit perfect a little tight on the track part but both are new so spread just a little and boom they fit perfect. Thanks etrailer best price out there too..
Ive tried the Yakima, Thule and now Rhino Rack options for my low profile truck bed rack and this one is by far the best option. Paired with a Retrax ProXR it is the easiest to assemble and install/uninstall due to the innovative mounts. Would give this rack a 6 star rating if i could.
Overall, super pleased with the product. Crossbars assembled with ease and installed on the truck and they look great. We are giving 4 stars for that. But etrailer could stand to put a little more effort into packaging to make sure these arrive safely at their destination. UPS dropped these off and all ends of the crossbar boxes were open and the crossbars were sticking 1/4 of the way out of the box. Crossbars are completely scratched up as it was hanging out of the box and probably rode that way all the way across the country to get to me. These things aren’t cheap so pretty disappointing that they came scratched up. etrailer — maybe spend a few extra pennies on adding some tape to the ends of the crossbar boxes so they don’t arrived scratched up next time.

I purchased the Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbar System for my Retrax Pro tonneau cover from etrailer.
My goal was to have a low-profile rack system that would allow me to transport my kayak behind the cab of my pick-up out of the wind.
I have to say that working with etrailer has been a pleasure. I would like to thank Mr. Alex who works in etrailers customer support!
Before buying the rack system, I called Rhino-Rack to make sure the system would fit into my Retrax rails and was assured it would and gave me the item numbers to order.
When I started to install the Rhino-Rack crossbar system into my Retrax Pro rails I quickly found that the rectangular shaped nuts would not fit into the t-slots of my Retrax rail.
I contacted Rhino-Rack and spoke with Mellissa who provided very little help.
I then contacted Retrax, and they suggested that I grind the bolts down to fit. Retrax also advised that they were aware of the bolt fitting issue and were working with Rhino-Rack to fix it.
Mr. Alex from e-trailer even offered to contact Rhino-Rack on my behalf and then called me back and advised that Rhino-Rack advised I could order another bolt installation kit.
Mr. Alex, from -trailer, also suggested that I try grinding the bolts down to fit which I did.
I will definitely buy from e-trailer again because of people like Mr. Alex

I have been using the Rhino Rack system to transport my kayak for the past year. I have to say that having the ability to have the kayak behind the cab of my truck and above my retrax cover works great. I am able to keep the kayak out of the wind and secure all of my other items in the bed of my truck.
Perfect match for the Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover. I particularly like how these detach in seconds for full truck bed access or going through a car wash. The cross bar & bike rack assembly can hang vertically on a garage hook to be out of the way when not needed. They click back in place in seconds are are fully secure when properly latched.
These are great CROSSBARS. Terrible packaging that does not withstand shipping. Parts lost but e-trailer made up for Rhino-racks cost cutting on packaging and replaced the missing parts. I will always buy from e-trailer. Great order processing, fast shipping, great customer service and very friendly staff. Thank you e-trailer and wake up Rhino rack and do better with packaging. Really took the thrill out of receiving them with missing parts and damaged due to CHEAP packaging.
Website was clear is describing the product, ordering was easy and delivery arrived faster than expected. Product was exactly as described and will suit my needs perfectly. Only problem was the key to lock the end caps of the Vortex crossbars was missing. The packaging of the crossbars was torn open when it was delivered and I’m guessing the key may have fallen out. The missing key is the only thing preventing me from giving five stars.
The best out there! I use this to hold my bike and Road Shower. They work and look good! From time to time i will need to remove them and it is very easy. Two thumbs up!
High quality rack system that is easy to install. All associated seals, etc come shipped inside the bars. If these are installed correctly, these bars will travel down the raid silently. If you are installing them on a Retrax Pro XR system, go ahead and order the 15 or 20mm spacer blocks to go with these to ensure that your key/latch assy can clear the crossbars without issue.
Works perfectly with the Retrax tonneau cover. Very easy to order, came on time. Will order from etrailer again!!!
Product works great with my Retrax Pro XR retractable tonneau cover. Only complaint was that it was poorly packaged and shipped, and the box came heavily damaged with the product slid a portion of the way out of the box. Luckily no visible damage to the product.

It looks like you are talking about the leg system. I reached out to Rhino Rack and they said things like flushing with fresh water, cleaning with compressed air, or a plastic friendly lubricant can help and can be done regularly as up keep. So its not that anything is wrong with the legs but that they might just need a little lubrication.
